On Sunday, President Trump went on NBC New’s Meet the Press — and he did a fantastic job handling all of the questions asked by liberal interviewer Kristen Welker.
During the interview, Welker whined about our country being “deeply divided” tried to get President Trump to concede the 2020 election (why are we still on this?)
But, it backfired spectacularly!
President Trump’s genius kicked in, and he had the perfect response — a straight up “No. Why would I do that?” followed by a reminder that, “When you say the country is deeply divided, I’m not the president, Joe Biden is the president.“
Watch here:
NEW: Kristen Welker’s question immediately backfires after she tries pinning America’s “division” on Trump.
Welker also tried to get Trump to concede the 2020 election which immediately got shut down.

Earlier in the interview, President Trump also told Welker, “That’s your opinion,” when she said he lost the 2020 election.
Watch that moment here:
Trump: If I won that election, I won't get into it, because we don't need to start that argument. I think it's an easy argument, it was even proven more conclusively by the win that I had on this one.
Welker: But you did lose.

Salon reported:
Speaking to NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired on Sunday, Trump maintained that the 2020 election was stolen from him and said that Democrats were unable to pull off another heist in 2024 because it was “too big.”
Trump kicked off the election denial portion of the wide-ranging interview by saying he didn’t want to talk about it, before asserting that he won in 2020.
“If I won that election, which you know how I feel about it. I won’t get into it, because we don’t need to start that argument,” he said. “I think it’s an easy argument, it was really proven even more conclusively by the win that I had on this one.”
When interviewer Kristen Welker asserted that Trump did lose in 2020, Trump called it an “opinion” that he disagreed with. Welker called on Trump to concede he lost “for the sake of unifying this country.”
“No, no. Why would I do that?” Trump said. “When you say [the country is] deeply divided I agree, but [Joe] Biden‘s the president. I’m not. And he has been a divider.”
Now, I’ve seen a lot of people on social media wondering why President Trump does these interviews with MSM networks like NBC News in the first place.
I think there are two reasons: the first being because he isn’t afraid — unlike many Democrats like Kamala who want to stay in their tiny echo chambers.
As for the second reason, I think Colin Rugg perfectly explained it:
Reaching different audiences.
Trump doing interviews on Fox News does nothing.
You are reaching the same audience and you are getting very lame questions. (Because they are coming from someone who agrees with you)
Welker provides a different audience of moderates or…
