Dana Wade Tapped for HUD Role, But Her Resume Points to Anti-Trump Stance

Dana Wade is being considered for Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Here’s some background.

Back in 2021, she joined Walker & Dunlop, a real estate firm that was heavily donating to Democratic committees.

Even Ron DeSantis got a piece of the action during President Donald Trump’s primary.

Wade hasn’t exactly been Trump’s biggest fan either.

She once wrote in an Investors.com piece accusing him of not going hard enough on financial reform.

So the question is, is she the best person for the job of Deputy Secretary of HUD under President Trump’s Adminstration?

The Gateway Pundit reports:

According to sources within Congress, Former Koch Institute “research fellow” Dana Wade is being considered for the position of Deputy Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In 2021, Wade joined the Democrat partisan real estate financier Walker & Dunlop.

Walker & Dunlop spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in the last campaign cycle alone — shelling out cash to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Trump’s primary opponent, Ron DeSantis.

In a post on Investors.com, Wade criticized Trump for not going “far enough” on financial reform.

Wade previously worked as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and worked in the Office of Management and Budget. She was also previously a deputy staff director of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.

Here’s the total they gave:

And here’s a break down of who received the funds.

Even Nikki Haley got some action:
