Community Notes On X Slams Joe Biden’s Latest Move

Joe Biden’s decision to pardon Hunter Biden resulted in one of his previous posts on X receiving a Community Note.

Hours after Joe Biden decided to pardon his son Hunter Biden, his previous post, which read, “no one is above the law,” was Community Noted.

The Community Note stated, “By pardoning his son Hunter, not merely for a single crime, but for actual or potential crimes he may or may not have created over an eleven-year period, Joe Biden has made clear that some people are, in fact, above the law.”

Elon Musk responded to the community note by writing, “Community Notes slays.”

Elon Musk is among those mocking President Biden’s shocking hypocrisy in granting son Hunter a pardon — noting how fact-checkers on X flagged the president for saying that “no one is above the law.”

Biden’s tweet from May, an attack on now-President-elect Donald Trump, went viral after the commander-in-chief announced late Sunday that he was giving a total pardon to his troubled son after repeatedly insisting he would not interfere with justice.

It now has a community note warning readers: “President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, for crimes covering nearly 11 years of ‘offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.’”

“By pardoning his son Hunter, not merely for a single crime, but for actual or potential crimes he may or may not have created over an eleven-year period, Joe Biden has made clear that some people are, in fact, above the law.”

Musk shared a screenshot to his more than 200 million followers with the simple message: “Community Notes slays.”

Per The Independent:

Donald Trump megadonor and incoming administration official Elon Musk has used his social media platform to chastise Joe Biden for a six-month-old X post after the president issued a pardon for his son Hunter.

X users deployed the “community notes” function to correct the president’s May 31 post reading “no one is above the law.”

The post was revived with a note added for “additional context” that read: “Joe Biden granted a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter, on December 1, 2024. Hunter was convicted of multiple felonies but will now go unpunished.”
