Anti-Israel protesters attempted to ruin the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, resulting in mass arrests.
Protesters illegally entered the parade route on W. 55 Street, which resulted in an immediate police response.
The group of over 20 people were shouting, “Don’t celebrate genocide.”
Police responded by detaining several of the protesters.

Anti-Israel protesters tried to ruin the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the second year running Thursday, with cops quickly swarming in to make mass arrests.
Protesters entered the parade route at W. 55th Street and Sixth Avenue, stopping the Ronald McDonald balloon in its tracks — and prompting loud boos from parade-goers screaming at the group of about 20 to move.Photos showed protesters sitting in the parade’s path, with some carrying a large banner reading: “Don’t celebrate genocide!”
NYPD officers quickly descended upon the group, who shouted “Free, free Palestine!” as they were tackled to the ground and placed in handcuffs.

A group of protesters briefly halted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade before the NYPD swooped in to clear the route in Manhattan.
Twenty-one pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested.
For the second year in a row, the group ran in front of the Ronald McDonald float to briefly stop the parade.
This year, they jumped the barricades at West 55th Street just after 9:30 a.m.
Many sat on the ground, locking arms and chanting “Free, free Palestine!”
