Backlash is Heating Up Over This Controversial Appointment’s Comments on Censorship, Vaccines, & Masking

The vast majority of President Trump’s cabinet nominations and other appointments have been wildly popular among his base of supporters.  Recent polling even shows that he is gaining popularity among younger Americans with his choices for these key positions.

But one appointment in particular is catching a lot of heat and has many scratching their heads wondering how she made it onto the short list, much less got the nod from Trump for the position.

Dr. Janette Nesheiwat was nominated on Friday to serve as the next Surgeon General under President Trump.

But many are calling for him to reconsider this latest nomination for her past comments on a few things near and dear to most Trump supporters.

I want to point out up front that Dr. Nesheiwat has apparently changed her mind on at least a couple of things, in particular her stance on the CDC’s overall handling of Covid.

Initially she took the stance that the CDC constantly reiterated to the public — that the so-called vaccines were safe and effective in minimizing symptoms and severe complications (none of which fit the technical definition of a vaccine, but rather, were experimental gene therapy mechanisms, as has been widely acknowledged for some time now).

In 2022, Dr. Nesheiwat excitedly shared the news of one Covid vaccine that was developed with the intention of producing a cheaper option, partly by keeping the design of the “vaccine” open source, with no patent.

That vaccine, “Corbevax”, was unique not because it received the proper amount of testing and trials to ensure it would not harm those who were exposed to it, but simply because it was not patented, according to the story in The Guardian that Dr. Nesheiwat shared online.

A new Covid-19 vaccine is being developed by Texas scientists using a decades-old conventional method that will make the production and distribution cheaper and more accessible for countries most affected by the pandemic and where new variants are likely to originate due to low inoculation rates.

The team, led by Drs Peter Hotez and Maria Bottazzi from the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development at Baylor College of Medicine, has been developing vaccine prototypes for Sars and Mers since 2011, which they reconstructed to create the new Covid vaccine, dubbed Corbevax, or “the world’s Covid-19 vaccine”.

Although more than 60 other vaccines are in development using the same technology, Bottazzi said their vaccine is unique because they do not intend to patent it, allowing anyone with the capacity to reproduce it.

As stated, Dr. Nesheiwat eventually changed her mind on the CDC’s overall handling of Covid.

Here’s a clip of her appearing on Fox News in 2022 back before Tucker Carlson had been pushed out.  By 2022, she had changed her tune on the CDC, emphasizing that profit was a primary motivating factor in the CDC’s decision making flow chart.

Like many, I might be prone to grant her a pass for eventually coming around and recognizing that almost everything the CDC was doing was actually causing far more harm than good.

The problem is she didn’t just prop up the CDC’s Covid response back in the day.  She also openly approved of some of the most idiotic recommendations of that era; double masking.

And her overt approval for the Covid era protocols didn’t stop there.  She also applauded the social media censorship that has haunted us ever since.

She literally commended Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook for censoring those who pushed back against the experimental and dangerous way the untested Covid vaccines were rabidly pushed on the American people.

Those statements, focused on restricting the basic freedoms of Americans for what Ben Franklin would call “a little temporary safety” (at best), are the ones garnishing the most heated pushback against her nomination for Surgeon General.

President Trump didn’t win the election because of some pet issue or a single soundbite that could be boiled down to a single aspect of American governance.

He won based on a wholesale return to FREEDOM over CONTROL.  And most of us are rightfully balking at this pick for Surgeon General because Dr. Nesheiwat is far too questionable on that issue.

Check out this clip of Dr. Nesheiwat appearing on Fox News openly agreeing with the CDC.

She emphasized that those who had accepted the vaccine could go about their normal daily lives, while those who refused to take part in the experiment should basically accept that they wouldn’t be accepted if they tried to enjoy a “normal lifestyle”!

President Trump put out a statement calling her “a fierce advocate and strong communicator for preventative medicine and public health”, according to a report on MSN.com by Tag 24 News.

On Friday, Trump shared a statement dubbing Nesheiwat “the Nation’s Doctor,” and praised her for being, “a fierce advocate and strong communicator for preventative medicine and public health.”

“She is committed to ensuring that Americans have access to affordable, quality healthcare, and believe in empowering individuals to take charge of their health to live longer, healthier lives,” Trump wrote, adding she will “play a pivotal role in making America healthy again!”

Here’s the full announcement issued by President Trump on Truth Social about Dr. Nesheiwat’s nomination.

Notwithstanding President Trump’s assurances, many who lived through the dystopian era of Covid restrictions and censorship are calling for a rethinking of this latest appointment.

Here is a compilation of the un-American stances Dr. Nesheiwat took during that tragic time of government overreach.  (The full text of the post is below for easier reading.)

I never did what was popular, but what was right. Here is a compilation of videos of Trump’s Surgeon General, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, and her stances during the COVID pandemic.

Dr. Janette Nesheiwat praised Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg for censoring individuals who questioned vaccines and expressed hope that other social media platforms would do the same.

She also endorsed COVID vaccines as “safe and effective,” supported vaccinating children, and advocated for masking and social distancing.

Watch out for influencers and politicians who are “yes-men” to this pick, as they are more interested in milking the benefits of the MAGA movement than in doing and saying what is right.

If you want President Trump to succeed, you should discourage him from appointing anyone like Fauci to his cabinet again.

As someone who lost several family members to the vaccines (not COVID, but the effects of the so-called vaccines), I count myself among those who are disgusted by the nomination of Dr. Nesheiwat for any position in President Trump’s administration — much less a health related position.

We have lived this nightmare long enough to have learned the lessons solidly.  And yes, I will grant a certain amount of grace to those who went through a learning process as we learned more about the thing we were facing.

But there is a difference between figuring out the science, and figuring out liberty.

I, for one, will never tolerate the attack on American liberty that we watched happen during those days — ever again.

I agree with those calling for a complete rethink of President Trump’s current pick for the U.S. Surgeon General.  There is no place in American governance for anyone who so willingly tosses personal liberty aside for some imagined greater “safety”.

That is what makes America different from everywhere else on earth.  We don’t FORCE people to live in a way that fits our mold for how we think is best; we afford EVERY INDIVIDUAL that most precious thing — freedom — to live as they choose.

That is truly, admittedly, a dangerous stance to take.  And only those who grasp the true riches of freedom could ever reason out how that DANGEROUS STANCE could possibly be worth any danger… much less EVERY danger.

If there is one thing the founding fathers attempted to iterate, it was that truth.

Let’s leave that dark period of America behind; not by forgetting the lessons we should have learned, but by firmly guarding ourselves from the danger of allowing individuals who would subject Americans to that level of oppression from ever gaining positions of import in this great country again.

There are myriads of liberty-minded health professionals out there who would gladly — and adeptly — handle the responsibilities of the top public health position in America.

But Dr. Janette Nesheiwat is not one of them.
