Biden Ridiculed For Focusing On Anti-Trans Violence After Laken Riley’s Killer Was Convicted

If nothing else, today’s Democrats are adept at feigning outrage toward the GOP while ignoring the much greater travesties occurring on their own side of the aisle.

That fact was on full display when Joe Biden (or whoever was operating his X account at the time) published a post in support of transgender individuals who are supposedly being subjected to violence. Not only is there scant evidence to suggestion such a trend is underway in the United States, his post was even more tone-deaf given the fact that the illegal immigrant who killed Georgia college student Laken Riley had recently been convicted when it was published.

The backlash was severe against the Biden administration for ignoring that development, as Outkick reported:

My God. It’s amazing. They are truly, truly amazing. The left is so unbelievably disconnected from the real world it’s almost impossible to be as far apart as we are.

All anyone could talk about yesterday was the Laken Riley trial, which saw disgusting murderer Jose Ibarra found guilty of 10 counts in connection with Riley’s Feb. 22 murder. It was a huge deal. A “where were you” moment for sure. It also highlighted the ridiculous border policies (of which there are none) of the Biden Administration.

So, naturally, on this day, Joe Biden (or one of his college interns) sent out a tweet honoring – and remembering – all the transgender Americans whose lives were taken this year in horrific acts of violence.

Here’s a sampling of the disapproving responses:

MSNBC also received sharp criticism for its coverage of the development in the Riley murder case, per Fox News:

Social media users tore into MSNBC.com this week after it published a remarkable headline saying that “Laken Riley’s killer never stood a chance.”

The digital outlet’s Thursday article discussed how the legal defense team for Jose Antonio Ibarra, the illegal immigrant who was convicted on Wednesday of murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley in February, “had no chance” because of the overwhelming evidence against their defendant.

Prominent people on X found the headline for the piece too sympathetic to Ibarra and not focused enough on the victim and her grieving family.

Here’s some additional coverage of Ibarra’s conviction:
