The illegal immigrant who charged with murdering nursing student Laken Riley has been found guilty on all charges.
Jose Ibarra, 26, has been found guilty of malice murder, felony murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, aggravated battery, obstructing a person making an emergency call, tampering with evidence, and peeping Tom.
Athens-Clarke County Judge H. Patrick Haggard found Ibarra guilty on all counts after Ibarra waived his rights to a trial by jury.
Sentencing is expected to occur later on Wednesday.

The suspect accused of murdering Laken Riley on the University of Georgia’s campus was found guilty by a judge on all charges Wednesday, including malice murder and felony murder.
Prosecutors called the evidence against the suspect “overwhelming,” while the defense raised the theory that the defendant could be an accomplice but not the killer during closing arguments in his trial.
ADVERTISEMENTJose Ibarra, 26, was accused of killing the 22-year-old nursing student while she was out for a run after prosecutors said she “refused to be his rape victim.” Jose Ibarra, an undocumented migrant, was charged with malice murder and felony murder in connection with her death, which became a rallying cry for immigration reform from many conservatives, including President-elect Donald Trump.
Jose Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial and the case was presented over four days in the Athens-Clarke County courtroom to Judge H. Patrick Haggard, who rendered the verdict on Wednesday shortly after closing arguments in the trial.

A judge found Jose Ibarra guilty of killing Laken Riley and a host of other charges after a highly emotional, four-day trial.
In addition to malice murder and felony murder, Judge H. Patrick Haggard also found the 26-year-old guilty of kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, aggravated battery, obstructing a person making an emergency call, tampering with evidence and peeping Tom.
Ibarra was charged under Georgia’s “peeping Tom” law for allegedly going to a UGA apartment building on the same day as Riley’s death, looking through the window and spying on a student prior to his encounter with Riley.
