President Trump En Route To Texas To Watch Space X Launch With Elon Musk

President Trump is en route to Texas to watch Space X’s historic launch.

Trump is traveling to Texas to watch Space X’s starship Flight 6 launch this evening alongside Space X CEO Elon Musk.

The launch is set to take place at 5:00 p.m.

In recent weeks, President Trump and Elon Musk have spent a lot of time together.

Per NBC 4 Los Angeles:

President-elect Donald Trump plans to attend a SpaceX launch in Texas with company CEO Elon Musk.
The launch will be the sixth for SpaceX’s Starship, the largest rocket ever built.

Trump has tapped Musk, who also heads Tesla and who was a major back of the Republican’s presidential campaign, to oversee an effort to improve government efficiency.

President-elect Donald Trump will attend Tuesday’s launch of the SpaceX rocket Starship with company CEO Elon Musk.

Trump’s planned presence at the launch underscores his increasingly close relationship with the mega-billionaire Musk, whose political action committee heavily backed the Republican in the recent election.

Trump has tapped Musk to co-lead a Department of Government Efficiency — DOGE — with former Republican presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy.

Since Trump’s election win, Musk has been a nearly constant presence at Trump’s side at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, rankling some Trump-team insiders, NBC previously reported.

Here’s what Politico reported:

Donald Trump plans to accompany billionaire Elon Musk to a SpaceX launch in Texas on Tuesday, according to a person familiar with the president-elect’s plans.

Musk, who emerged as a top donor and Trump surrogate during the 2024 election, has been an influential person in Trump’s orbit since the election.

The world’s richest person has sat in on Trump’s calls with world leaders, and has chimed in on his Cabinet picks.

Recently, he publicly advocated for Howard Lutnick to be Treasury secretary and used his social media platform to back Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) for Senate majority leader (Scott flamed out).

Musk flew with Trump to Washington last week and also joined him over the weekend for the Ultimate Fighting Championship match at Madison Square Garden.

SpaceX is scheduled on Tuesday to launch its sixth, suborbital flight test of its Starship rocket, which Musk hopes will eventually transport humans to the moon and Mars. Trump has marveled at SpaceX and Starlink and would frequently bring it up during final weeks of the campaign.
