Mystery Bullet Hits Southwest Plane At Dallas Airport

On November 15, a Southwest Airlines flight departing Dallas Love Field Airport got a surprise.

Out of no where, a bullet struck near the cockpit.

And this was before it took off. So, naturally, they cancelled the flight.

No injuries were reported.

Now the FAA and police are trying to figure out where the shot came from.

Surely they have someone way to figure out the trajectory of the shot and just work backwards.

ABC News reports:

A bullet struck the body of a Southwest Airlines airplane preparing for departure from a Dallas airport, forcing the cancellation of the Friday evening flight, the airline said.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft was “struck by gunfire near the cockpit” around 8:30 p.m. while taxiing before the flight to Indianapolis International Airport. The plane returned to the gate and the passengers exited, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

So if the plane isn’t falling apart, it’s to be used as target practice?

I’m not sold on flying.
