Here’s Why Joe Rogan Says So Many ‘F***ing Hippies’ Have Thanked Him For Endorsing Trump

Although Kamala Harris was able to collect a number of endorsements from A-list celebrities, President Donald Trump scored a big advantage ahead of Election Day when top-rated podcast host Joe Rogan endorsed his campaign.

Now that Trump is heading back to the White House on the strength of an electoral college and popular vote win, Rogan says his involvement in the process has been receiving mixed reviews.

As Fox News reported:

In the wake of the election where Trump won both the electoral college and the popular vote, many have spoken about the power of podcasts in swaying the votes of young men across multiple racial groups to support Trump.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” host spoke Wednesday about how much backlash he received for criticizing Harris.

“A lot of what people say, they say it because they don’t want people to attack them. They say it because they think that if they say it, it will clear them, they’ll be OK,” Rogan said. “If you say you support ‘x’ — you might not even support ‘x’ — but if you say you support ‘x,’ you’re not going to get attacked and the right people will leave you alone or agree with you and appreciate you or praise you.”

But plenty of others have publicly praised his decision to back Trump’s bid.

For his part, Rogan went on to note that a wide array of people have privately expressed their gratitude.

According to the New York Post:

“There’s a lot of people that don’t speak their mind. Do you know how many artists that have reached out to me that are, like, f–king hippies, man, like artists, like musicians, comedians that thanked me for endorsing Trump because they can’t do it,” Rogan said during Wednesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“They said they want to, but they don’t wanna be attacked. They can’t say it. They think the country is going in the wrong direction.”

Rogan, who didn’t name names, suggested elsewhere in the episode that many people now just throw their support behind a cause — even if they actually don’t believe in it.

“A lot of what people say, they say it because they don’t want people to attack them. They say it because they think that if they say it, it will clear them, they’ll be OK,” he said.

Here’s some additional coverage of Rogan’s endorsement just prior to the election:
