Trump Lawyer Alina Habba Responds To Rumors She Will Be Trump’s Press Secretary

In the last week, rumors have swirled that Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, will be selected to serve as the White House Press Secretary.

Those rumors have been officially laid to rest.

In a statement, Habba shared, “While I am flattered by the support and speculation, the role of Press Secretary is not a role I am considering. Although I love screaming from a podium I will be better served in other capacities.”

Habba added, “This adminstration is going to be epic! So proud of the Trump team, the latest appointments and 47!”

Alina Habba, a lawyer for an top aide to President-elect Trump, says she is out of the running to become his White House press secretary.

“While I am flattered by the support and speculation, the role of Press Secretary is not a role I am considering. Although I love screaming from a podium I will be better served in other capacities,” Habba wrote on the social platform X early Thursday morning. “This adminstration is going to be epic! So proud of the Trump team, the latest appointments and 47!”

Habba earlier this week was asked during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s program about a report that suggested she was the front-runner for the position.
“It’s time to turn the page. It’s time to have advocacy for America First,” Habba said. “It’s a decision for all of them to make, not me.”

Habba added she was “very loyal” to Trump and would “consider” the position “very seriously.”
A lawyer who first gained national notoriety defending Trump during his civil fraud trial in New York, Habba was on a list of top aides and allies to the former president vying to run his White House press shop.

Although I love screaming from a podium I will be better served in other capacities,” Habba announced in a post to X on Thursday morning. “This administration is going to be epic! So proud of the Trump team, the latest appointments and 47!”

Habba became Trump’s attorney in 2021 and has been a key fixture in his campaign, serving as legal spokeswoman and senior adviser.
