Martha Stewart Pushes Actress Drew Barrymore Away, Says “Wrong Gender”

Martha Stewart didn’t hesitate to let actress Drew Barrymore know she did not like her touchiness.

During a recent interview, Barrymore asked Stewart if anything made her “soft and gooey.”

After asking the question, Barrymore stroked Stewart’s back and arms.

Stewart responded to Barrymore’s antics by saying, “You’re the wrong gender,” before gently pushing Barrymore away.

Martha Stewart isn’t a fan of Drew Barrymore’s signature touchy-feely approach to daytime TV.

The domestic doyenne, 83, appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Tuesday to promote her new cookbook — her 100th — and pushed the host away after she got a little too up close and personal.

The awkward encounter occurred when Barrymore, 49, sidled up alongside Stewart on the show’s enormous couch and, with a mischievous look in her eye and a finger in her mouth, asked the legendary homemaker if there’s anything that makes her feel “soft and gooey.”

Barrymore then touched Stewart’s shoulder, parroting the cookbook queen’s answer. “Soft and gooey treatment,” she said. “When you’re treated like a lady.”

“Yes, it’s nice,” Stewart said as Barrymore began stroking her arm and back.

The audience began to laugh, prompting Stewart to give them a knowing look. Stewart then cut Barrymore off, saying, “You’re the wrong gender,” before pushing her away.

As Martha thinks about her answer, Drew suggestively touches her mouth, prompting her guest to respond, “soft and gooey … treatment. It’s nice.”

The encounter on Tuesday’s show gets a bit more uncomfortable, however … watch the video, as Drew ends up stroking Martha’s arm in an attempt to get her guest to open up more.

The gesture doesn’t work, though … with a nod toward the audience, Martha pushes Drew away and tells the actress she’s “the wrong gender” — making it clear her charms are lost on her, though they both share a laugh.
