Sen. John Fetterman Calls Voters “Dipsh*ts”

Senator John Fetterman called Green Party voters “dipsh*ts” after Democratic Senator Bob Casey lost his senate seat to Republican Dave McCormick by over 40,000 votes.

Despite the Associated Press calling the race, Fetterman took to X and claimed it wasn’t over because more votes were still being counted.

He then vented his frustration at Green Party voters who voted for Leila Hazou, who received over 64,000 votes.

In the post on X, Fetterman stated, “Pennsylvania is going to count every last vote. That’s not controversial—that’s the law.”

He added, “Also, Green dipshits’ votes helping elect the GOP.”

Here’s what Newsweek reported:

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is facing criticism after calling Green Party voters “dips***s.”

The remark came after more than 65,000 people voted for Green Party candidate Leila Hazou in the Pennsylvania Senate elections on Tuesday, amounting to 1 percent of the vote in the state, according to NBC News exit polls. The survey shows the Pennsylvania Senate race is too close to call, with Republican candidate Dave McCormick on 49 percent, while incumbent Senator Bob Casey is on 48.4 percent.

The Associated Press called the Pennsylvania Senate race for McCormick on Thursday, however, prompting criticism from Fetterman. “We still have tens of thousands of votes to be counted across the Commonwealth,” Fetterman said in a post on X. “@AP_Politics shouldn’t make a call in this race until every Pennsylvanian has their vote counted.” Senator Bob Casey has said he will not concede until every vote is counted.

Following his Thursday remarks, Fetterman said in another post on X on Thursday that Pennsylvania “is going to count every last vote,” and also hit out at Green Party supporters in Pennsylvania.

Here was Elon Musk’s response to Fetterman’s comments:

Sen. Fetterman quicklyurged the Associated Press to hold off on making the call, noting in an X post there were still “tens of thousands of votes” left to be counted across his state.

In a separate post less than an hour later, the senator reiterated that every Pennsylvania vote would be counted while knocking a specific group of voters in the state.

“Also, Green dips***s’ votes helping elect the GOP,” the senator wrote alongside an image showing that 0.9% of Pennsylvania’s ballots were cast for Leila Hazou, the Green Party candidate for Senate.
