The Biden Department of Justice is now revealing that two individuals linked to an alleged plot to assassinate President Trump have been arrested, with 1 person involved in the plot still at large.
The individual still at large has been identified by the DOJ as 51 year old Farhad Shakeri, whose job it was to “focus on surveilling, and ultimately, assassinating” President Trump, according to the DOJ criminal complaint which has just been unsealed in a federal court in New York City.

As we have previously reported, this is likely the most dangerous time period for President Trump. Nationally there are factions within the United States who would rather see an assassin’s bullet not miss it’s mark, and internationally the story is no different.
While patriots and freedom-loving Americans from all walks of life are celebrating the recent sweeping victory of President Trump at the ballot box, the fact is the threat to him now is more intense than they have ever been against a U.S. President since the days George Washington rode his steed into battle against the British army.
According to Fox News, the criminal complaint was unsealed today in a NYC federal court, and the U.S. DOJ, including Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland, have issued statements about the plot.
A criminal complaint filed in federal court in New York City says an unnamed official in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps had asked Farhad Shakeri, 51, of Iran, in September to “focus on surveilling, and, ultimately, assassinating, former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”
“There are few actors in the world that pose as grave a threat to the national security of the United States as does Iran,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement. “The Justice Department has charged an asset of the Iranian regime who was tasked by the regime to direct a network of criminal associates to further Iran’s assassination plots against its targets, including President-elect Donald Trump.
“We have also charged and arrested two individuals who we allege were recruited as part of that network to silence and kill, on U.S. soil, an American journalist who has been a prominent critic of the regime,” Garland added. “We will not stand for the Iranian regime’s attempts to endanger the American people and America’s national security.”
The Justice Department says Shakeri, who remains at large and is believed to be living in Iran, “immigrated to the United States as a child and was deported in or about 2008 after serving 14 years in prison for a robbery conviction.”
“Shakeri has informed law enforcement that he was tasked on Oct. 7, 2024, with providing a plan to kill President-elect Donald J. Trump,” it added.
Check out this report from MSNBC reporting on the individual still at large, allegedly currently in Iran — who revealed the plot voluntarily, according to the reports, in an attempt to get a lesser sentence for an acquaintance currently serving time in a U.S. prison, in exchange for the information.

While rumors and concerns exist that the Biden-Harris administration may be using Iran threats as a cover for more insidious attempts on President Trump’s life from “enemies within”, the fact is Iran wants retribution for the killing of IRGC General Soleimani in 2020 by a U.S. drone strike order by President Trump. For some insight into that angle, here is the current reporting from ABC News on the alleged Iranian connection.
Farhad Shakeri, Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt are charged with murder-for-hire, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Rivera and Loadholt have been arrested, while Shakeri, who the FBI described as an “asset” of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is believed to be in Tehran.
The IRGC tasked Shakeri with surveilling and killing Trump to avenge the death of Qassem Soleimani, the leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force, in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad in January 2020, according to the complaint.
Shakeri emigrated to the United States but was deported in 2008 after serving prison time for robbery, according to the Justice Department. While in prison, he met Rivera and Loadholt and hired them to target an Iranian American activist living in Brooklyn, according to the complaint.
While she is not named in the complaint, the activist matches the description of Masih Alinejad, a prolific journalist and human rights activist who has been critical of the Iranian government and targeted in multiple plots. Federal prosecutors announced criminal charges last month against IRGC Brig. Gen. Ruhollah Bazghandi in connection with an alleged murder plot against Alinejad.
Alinejad later posted on social media that she was one of the targets, writing, “I am shocked. I just learned from the @FBI that two men were arrested yesterday in a new plot to kill me at Fairfield University, where I was scheduled to give a talk.”
The IRGC also tasked Shakeri with carrying out other assassinations against U.S. and Israeli citizens located in the United States, including Trump, the complaint alleges.
The DOJ charged 3 individuals in an assassination plot against Trump. Two are in custody and one is allegedly living in Tehran — the capital city of Iran.

This is breaking news, as the information has just recently been revealed with the unsealing of documents related to the case. We will bring you updates as information becomes available.
Noah is not buying the official story:
Sorry but I'm not buying this….
So it's the Iranians again trying to assassinate Trump (and not our own Deep State)?
And the FBI now looks like the "good guys" for catching it?
Sorry, not buying it!

FULL TRANSCRIPT:
Hey, we’re just now hearing breaking news that the Justice Department has just unsealed criminal charges today in, apparently, an Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump just in the weeks prior to the election. Now, we’ve previously heard of other attempted assassinations on Donald Trump, starting with Butler, Pennsylvania—the shooter outside of Mar-a-Lago, camped out by the chain link fence and the bushes in Florida. And, of course, there have been previous comments that Iran was attempting to assassinate Donald Trump. But now, the Justice Department is unsealing criminal charges Friday in this thwarted Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump in the weeks before the election.
The criminal complaint, filed in court in Manhattan and just unsealed, alleges that an unnamed official in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard instructed a contact in September—just weeks before the election—to put together a plan to surveil and ultimately kill Donald Trump. This is now further evidence that the Iranian government is extremely anti-Trump, and it makes you wonder how much they’re shaking in their boots now that Donald Trump has been reelected. Some of their concerns make sense but should never rise to the level of assassinating another foreign leader. Although, frankly, we probably do it to them as well. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the president of [another country] happened to die in a helicopter crash when it was piloted by two with instrument ratings, just flying around in the fog. That might be conspiratorial, but it’s something to think about.
Just to give a little background: in 2015 and 2016, the United States, along with multiple other countries, put together the Iran Nuclear Deal. When Donald Trump took office, he single-handedly declared, “I’m done with this deal,” called it a disaster, and tore it up, bragging about how he exerted maximum pressure on Iran. Trump also imposed oil sanctions on Iran and targeted the Iranian banking sector to cut off revenue by pressuring any country working with Iran. For a while, sanction waivers allowed countries like China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Turkey to continue buying Iranian oil without facing U.S. sanctions, but Trump eventually ended that in 2019, cold turkey.
Iran has since pointed to Trump’s actions, like the killing of General Soleimani, as aggression, but Trump’s stance was always that Iran created instability in the Middle East. Recently, Iran has funded terror groups such as Hamas in Gaza, potentially training militants who crossed into Israel for the October 2023 raid on Israel—a raid that was a travesty, leading Israel to invade Gaza. Iran has blood on its hands for the murder of tens of thousands. If we look further, Iran also backs the Houthis in Yemen, which disrupts global supply chains by attacking transport and container ships in the Middle East. We’ve even seen companies like Tesla complain about higher supply chain costs due to disruptions.
Beyond that, Hezbollah in Lebanon and paramilitary groups in Iraq also receive Iranian support. Iran recently argued for retaliation against Israel’s counterattacks, making the cycle of instability seem never-ending. And now, this breaking news—coming from the Associated Press—that the Justice Department has brought criminal charges in a thwarted Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump shows that Iran is a country keen on destabilizing supply chains and supporting terror in the Middle East.
There is commentary from figures like Vladimir Putin suggesting that he would be open to discussing a resolution for Ukraine with Trump, saying that the current administration has shut down communication with him. This approach isn’t unlike what Iran is doing in the Middle East—fighting a proxy war using groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and other paramilitary groups in Iraq. North Korea is reportedly considering support for Russia, making the situation expansive.
This plot is another potential threat against Trump. Unfortunately, I think these threats are going to expand and get worse. Fortunately, it seems security around Trump has increased—measures now include armed patrol boats and a robotic dog patrolling his Mar-a-Lago residence. This should have happened sooner, especially considering Iran’s intentions, but now that Trump has won, I think Iran might try again.
There’s just been another update from the Associated Press: the FBI thwarted an Iranian murder-for-hire plan targeting Donald Trump. The Justice Department unsealed charges on Friday in the thwarted plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump before this week’s election. The criminal complaint, filed Monday, alleges that an Iranian official instructed a contact in September to put together a plan to surveil and kill Trump, planning to pause if Trump lost the election, thinking it would be easier to assassinate him then. Now that Trump has won, it’s likely the threat level has increased.
It’s scary and reminiscent of the Kennedy and Cuba era. The man, identified as Farad Shakiri, told the FBI he didn’t plan to propose a murder plan within the seven days requested. The charges reflect what officials describe as an ongoing effort by Iran to target U.S. government officials on American soil. Now, some skepticism exists given the FBI’s political reputation, but there’s also high-tech security developing around Trump, including robotic dogs with machine guns, GPS systems, scanning detectors, and sensors patrolling his residence.
These robotic dogs, designed for military purposes, are capable of semi-autonomous movement and decision-making. Developed in partnership with Boston Dynamics and tested by the U.S. Army, they serve various operational roles, including reconnaissance and transport. They’re a part of a broader trend toward technology-based security.
Through all this, there’s growing food insecurity in Gaza, with reports of famine. As the Iranian government potentially resumes its campaign against Trump post-election, we see evidence of Iran’s fear of Trump and their willingness to destabilize other regions. The U.S., under Bush, Obama, and Biden, saw new wars, but not under Trump—something he could have emphasized more in his platform.
In summary, Iran’s attempts on Trump’s life could intensify. These are truly unsettling times, and while I wish for everyone’s safety, I am skeptical of the government’s response, especially considering past lapses in Trump’s security. Let’s hope the security measures are now sufficient.
