From The Hill:
Former President Trump is projected to win West Virginia, according to Decision Desk HQ.
The Republican presidential nominee easily carried the Mountain State and will pick up its four Electoral College votes.
The win in Trump’s column comes as no surprise. The Hill and Decision Desk HQ’s model had given Trump more than a 99 percent chance of winning.

It was expected that President Trump was going to easily win West Virginia.
But, this wasn’t the only win in the state.
The Republican party just gained another seat in the Senate, with Gov. Jim Justice winning the race, succeeding Sen. Joe Manchin, an Independent.
That’s a big deal because it means that, effectively, Republicans now only have to flip ONE more seat to gain control of the Senate!
Republicans have flipped the West Virginia US Senate seat held formerly by Manchin.
Zero Republican Senate seats are considered at risk in 2024, so the US Senate is at a 50-50 tie.

From The Washington Examiner:
Outgoing Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV), handing Republicans a major victory in their quest for control of the upper chamber.
The Associated Press called the race for Justice at 7:30 PM ET, shortly after the polls closed in West Virginia. Justice defeated Democrat Glenn Elliott, the mayor of Wheeling.
Justice, 73, is finishing out his second term as governor and is term-limited. The businessman and member of a prominent coal mining family was first elected as governor in 2016 as a Democrat before becoming a Republican in August 2017.
ADVERTISEMENTManchin decided not to run for reelection in November, raising speculation about a third-party presidential run. However, he ruled out a White House bid in February under No Labels, the centrist group that later abandoned moving forward with a bipartisan unity ticket for the 2024 presidential election.
