Red Surge in Early Voting Shakes Up 2024 Race, Similar to Reagan-Era Landslide

It looks like early voting in battleground states like Nevada and Arizona is shaking things up.

For the first time in recent memory, registered Republicans are outpacing Democrats in early ballots.

Political analyst Jon Ralston says this is “unheard of” this close to Election Day.

What we’re seeing is similar to Reagan’s 1980 landslide.

And this has the Democrats bracing for the worst at the polls.

History about to repeat itself?

Kamala Harris has taken a commanding lead in the presidential race against former President Donald Trump in four key battleground states according to new polling. The latest Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey showed a major shift from when President Biden was still in the race and Trump had an advantage in swing states.

Overall, the race is a toss up and the poll shows Harris at 48 percent to Trump’s 47 percent across seven swing states. It reverses the two point lead Trump had in the swing states before Biden exited the race. But Harris is now ahead in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin among voters.

The polling shows Harris with a whopping 11 point lead over Trump in the crucial state of Michigan. She also has a two point lead in Arizona, Nevada and Wisconsin. The race between Harris and Trump is now tied in Georgia. On Tuesday, the vice president received a huge welcome when more than 10,000 people showed up to her first rally as the presumptive presidential nominee in Atlanta.

These ‘huge leads’ that Kamala is getting don’t seem add up. Truth will out soon about these polls.

RTM adds:

In the final days leading up to the 2024 presidential election, a series of unexpected early voting trends are sending shockwaves through the political establishment and raising the specter of a potential electoral earthquake reminiscent of Ronald Reagan’s landslide victory over Jimmy Carter in 1980.

In Nevada and Arizona, registered Republican voters have cast more early ballots than their Democratic counterparts, reversing a historical advantage for the Democrats.

This dynamic, described by Nevada political analyst Jon Ralston as “unheard of at this point in any other presidential cycle,” is causing serious concern among party strategists.

“There’s no good news here for Democrats,” Ralston noted, as reported by Keshishian.
