Data Orbital reported today on it’s website that President Trump and Kari Lake both hold the edge in their current polling numbers, with third-party candidates potentially holding a key to the final outcome.
Data Orbital has released the results of its latest statewide, mixed mode (live caller and text to web) survey of likely General Election voters. The survey was conducted from October 26th 2024 – October 28th 2024. The survey measured support for candidates in Arizona’s Presidential and US Senate contests.
With just one week to go until the 2024 General Election, Republicans hold an edge in both the Presidential and US Senate races.
In the race for president, Republican Donald Trump leads Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, 49.7% to 41.9%. Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 1.0% support, while Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver garnered 0.7%. An additional 6.8% of respondents were undecided or declined to answer.
Just this morning, the polls were still showing Kari Lake behind her Democratic opponent, as this USA Today story published earlier shows:
Five polls released in the past week showed Democrat Ruben Gallego held to a steady lead over Republican Kari Lake in their U.S. Senate race and reaching the key 50% threshold each time.
ADVERTISEMENTThe polls, conducted by four different organizations, pointed to leads for the five-term member of Congress ranging from as little as 4 percentage points to as much as 10 points.
On average, those polls showed Gallego leading Lake 52% to 45%.
But that same USA Today story also indicated that over the previous three weeks, Lake has been closing the gap between her and Gallego. Today’s Data Orbital numbers seem to show that momentum has carried forward, and Lake may be taking the lead in the final week of campaigning.
Yesterday, Kari Lake went on Newsmax discussing the stark contrast between the next few years under a Biden-Harris administration versus Trump-Vance leadership. She emphasized the need to not only win the White House, but the Senate, if President Trump is going to be able to enact the changes he has campaigned on.
We are on the verge of accomplishing great things for America. President Trump & I need your VOTE to do it.
It’s not enough to win the White House.
Trump needs the Senate. He needs Congress to help him deliver us a secure border. A strong economy & bring back an American spirit… pic.twitter.com/fLLJ6rqCUm

Kari Lake is likely making big strides as a result of her ability to focus the outpouring of support she is receiving from former democrats who have turned on the Harris-Walz campaign, who are now unexpected Trump supporters. Check out the video Lake’s campaign dropped today with a former democrat who absolutely TORCHES Kamala Harris, and points instead towards the common sense of President Trump and his Republican allies.

With only a week to go, it remains to be seen if the momentum Lake has built in the previous weeks will be enough to manifest a win at the polls. But there is no doubt, as democrats leave their party, disgusted by the lies and empty promises, Lake is likely to continue catching a positive boost right up to Election Day.
