HAPPENING NOW: SWAT Standoff At Four Seasons Hotel In Atlanta, Shots Fired From Hotel Balcony


An unidentified shooter has fired shots from a Four Seasons hotel balcony in Atlanta, Georgia.

After firing the shots, the gunman barricaded himself in the hotel.

Atlanta’s SWAT team responded to the shooting and is currently in a standoff with the shooter.

Terrifying footage showed a masked gunman firing from a high floor balcony of Atlanta’s luxurious Four Seasons hotel.

The unidentified shooter, who was wearing a pale-colored rubber mask, blasted a round of rapid fire towards people filming him from another balcony Tuesday afternoon.

A man and a woman stood filming him from the apparent safety of their high-rise apartment a few blocks away, watching in surprise as the shooter hurled furniture off the balcony.

Shots have been fired near the busy Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Atlanta as police investigate a call for a barricaded gunman on Tuesday afternoon.

Details are limited, but the call came in around 2 p.m., prompting the heavy law enforcement presence at the hotel on 14th Street. The hotel is down the street from Piedmont Park and not that far from the Colony Square shopping mall.

A spokesperson with the Atlanta Police Department said, “Out of an abundance of caution, units have set up a perimeter to safely investigate the matter.”
