Kamala Harris Fiercely Booed At Texas Rally, Here’s Why

Viral footage online shows attendees at Kamala Harris’ Texas rally viciously booing her while speaking on stage.

According to multiple reports, a significant portion of the crowd booed Harris after realizing Beyoncé wasn’t giving them a concert.

“People are ticked Beyoncé isn’t performing,” one TikTok video shared on X read.

Page Six reports:

Beyoncé fans are furious at her for not performing at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston Friday night.

In a video shared on TikTok from the event, the current vice president appeared flustered as she smiled and laughed while seemingly getting booed at by fans after the “Crazy In Love” singer exited the stage without singing a song.

“Embarrassing and awkward!!!” the social media user wrote atop the video.

“Kamala doesn’t know what to do as [the] crowd booed and got rowdy after Beyoncé read a script off the teleprompter four 4 minutes and left without performing.”

“What a disaster!”

Another TikTok user posted a video that showed people leaving the rally and claimed “everyone else” left after the 32-time Grammy winner did.

“Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston, Texas descends into chaos as she fails to control the rally attendees. Boos and yelling were heard at the rally as Harris failed to calm down the rowdy crowd. It’s unclear at the moment what exactly is going on,” Collin Rugg wrote.

How are you going to give us Beyoncé with no Beyoncé performance? In all fairness to Vice President Kamala Harris, Friday’s campaign rally in Houston was technically a political appearance for the “Love on Top” superstar, not a concert performance. However, I could totally relate to the crowd’s disappointment.

While Beyoncé didn’t perform her popular hits for the crowd of 30,000 people, she did “wow” the crowd with an “ICONIC” speech, kicking off with, “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother.” During her speech, she encouraged others to go out and vote because she “cares deeply about a world where we’re not divided.”

Following the superstar’s “powerful” speech (and nonexistent performance), she introduced and welcomed Harris to the stage, alongside her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland. Beyoncé, whose hometown is Houston, gave Harris permission to use her 2016 track “Freedom,” a cut from her landmark album “Lemonade,” as her presidential campaign anthem.

“MSNBC treated it as breaking news when the Harris campaign announced that Beyoncé would appear AND PERFORM at a rally in Texas. The pop star did appear but only spoke and did not sing. THEY LIED TO BUILD A CROWD,” Tim Murtaugh said.

Fox News noted:

Former President Trump blasted Vice President Kamala Harris Saturday over an appearance with Beyoncé at which critics say Harris and the media intentionally misled attendees into thinking the superstar would perform.

“Beyoncé went up and spoke for a couple of minutes and then left, and the place went crazy,” Trump told a crowd in Michigan. “They booed the h*** out of everybody. They thought she was going to perform. What happened was my opponent got up and started speaking, and they booed the h*** out of her. It’s crazy. They have to use people to get people to come, and then they send buses. We don’t send buses. Everybody comes. We’re just going to make America great again. It’s very simple.”

Several media outlets, including MSNBC, promoted Beyonce’s appearance with Harris in Houston on Friday by saying that the music superstar would perform, prompting criticism from conservatives who accused Harris of intentionally misleading the public. Beyoncé did speak, but she did not perform.
