‘Wild S***’: Joe Rogan Tells President Trump How CNN ‘Made You Much More Popular’

President Donald Trump sat down for an appearance on comedian Joe Rogan’s popular podcast this week.

As part of their wide-ranging, roughly three-hour discussion, the host outlined his guest’s unusual path to the White House and the unintentional assistance he has received from at least one adversarial mainstream media source.

As the Daily Caller reported:

Trump commented he always attracted more publicity than others without trying, prompting the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” to reflect how establishment media contributed to Trump’s surge in popularity and ascension to the presidency.

“Oh, I can definitely tell you. You said a lot of wild shit,” Rogan laughed. “You said a lot of wild shit, and then CNN, in all their brilliance, by highlighting your wild shit, made you much more popular.”

Rogan also told Trump how voters exhausted by carefully scripted political rhetoric were drawn to the then-Repiblican candidate’s perceived authenticity.

“People were tired of someone talking in this bullshit, pre-prepared politician lingo. And even if they didn’t agree with you, they at least knew whoever that guy is, that’s him,” Rogan said.

This was one of several segments of the podcast that received signification social media attention:

Some of the weightier issues broached during the episode included the Biden administration’s botched troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.

According to Fox News:

Trump said President Biden should have fired everyone involved in planning the withdrawal, taking issue with retired Gen. Mark Milley, who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump and Biden.

Trump said U.S. troops should have left last from Bagram Air Base because it’s located “one hour away from where China makes its nuclear missiles” and should have taken all their equipment with them.

“Every plane, every screw  should have been taken out, every tent. And I said that. That’s when I realized that Milley was a dummy. I said, ‘we’re leaving, but I want to get everything out,'” Trump said.

“‘Sir, it’s cheaper to leave it,'” Trump said Milley told him.

“It’s cheaper to leave it?” Rogan asked. “Yeah, he said it’s cheaper to leave it,” Trump affirmed.
