Embarrassing: Watch Kamala Harris Shut Down When Asked To Name A Legislative Goal

The Democratic Party’s playbook surrounding the presidential campaign of Kamala Harris appears to remain as vague as possible, with the nominee apparently unwilling or unable to describe much of her platform.

This came into clear view during a recent CNN town hall event when Harris fumbled through her response to a question about what she would prioritize when working with Congress if she is elected next month.

According to the Daily Wire:

Harris was asked the question at CNN’s town hall event by an audience member who wanted to know “one major policy goal” that she wanted to pursue in Congress and why.

“Well, there’s not just one,” Harris responded. “There’s a lot of work that needs to happen.”

“I think that maybe part of this point that — how I think about it is we’ve got to get past this era of politics and partisan politics slowing down what we need to do in terms of progress in our country,” she continued. “And that means working across the aisle.”

She claimed that she has accomplished things in bipartisan fashion before and that she was committing to “work with Democrats, with Republicans, with independents to deal with a number of issues.”

Of course, this wasn’t the first time Harris has responded to a very precise question with her brand of indiscriminate word salad.

But her performance during Wednesday’s town hall even prompted CNN’s own Dana Bash to chime in with a critical take.

According to a transcript from RealClearPolitics:

“I will just tell you what I am hearing from people who I have been talking to. If her goal was to close the deal, they are not sure she did that. Some people have asked ‘is she being held to a different standard?’ maybe. But, maybe that’s the world she is living in.”
