ZERO $0.00 Funding For Ted Cruz & Kari Lake? (Cruz is Pissed at Mitch!)

This isn’t the first time.  I can remember years past reading how Mitch McConnell, who as the Republican Minority Leader in the Senate controls official coffers for funding GOP campaigns, was simply keeping those coffers closed for Republicans who failed to tow his version of the party line — even if it meant hurting the number of true conservative voices in Congress.

You guessed it, even with McConnell stepping down in November, it’s happening again.  And Ted Cruz is pissed — because it could cost Texas, and the Nation, dearly.

When Mark Levin asked the question, I knew the answer Ted Cruz would give, because it’s not the first time Mitch McConnell withheld money from Cruz who is attempting to keep Texas free from democratic attempts to turn it blue and undercut an important bastion of conservative policy in the U.S. Senate.

McConnell runs the most well funded Super PAC by far, according to the New York Post, which is reporting that McConnell is technically limited by federal law from directly making spending decisions for the PAC; but it’s an open secret that his wishes carry the day within the Pac.

“Sadly no, not a penny,” Cruz vented on Fox News’ “Life Liberty & Levin,” when asked if he got any resources from the Senate Leadership Fund.

“McConnell runs the largest Republican super PAC in the country and has $400 million but that super PAC is used to reward the Republican senators who obey him and to punish those who dare to stand up to him,” he added.

Technically, McConnell is precluded by federal campaign finance law from directly making spending decisions for the Senate Leadership Fund, though he has actively raised money for it. The group is also stacked with loyalists, including his former chief of staff Steven Law who is its CEO.

Cruz has a lengthy history of chaffing with McConnell. During his first year in the upper chamber, Cruz championed a push to leverage a government funding fight in a bid to scrap the Affordable Care Act — a ploy that McConnell opposed.

Ultimately, that led to a government shutdown in 2013 and the Affordable Care Act remained intact. From there, Cruz and McConnell have repeatedly butted heads on what tactics to employ.

“Chuck Schumer has been explicit on his number one target in the country, and they are spending between $100 and $150 million trying to beat me,” Cruz warned.

President Trump has been chiming in on Truth Social about McConnell’s refusal to fund key Republican Senate races, yet he seems incredibly willing to overspend when it comes to his personal favorites in any given Congressional race.

According to Caroline Wren who spoke to Monica Crowley on the War Room podcast, McConnell simply hates Cruz “because Ted Cruz won’t fund his endless wars in Ukraine.”  And there is all the evidence in the world to back that statement; not the least of which is McConnell’s unwillingness to fund two of the closest key Senate races in the country with a single penny from the millions he controls!

So the question is obvious — is McConnell actively trying to sink the campaigns of those who back President Trump and push against the RINO mentality of endless wars, complicit acquiescence to democratic policies, and weak leadership?  It would seem so!

Kari Lake and her key Senate race in Arizona is in a similar spot as Cruz, having received absolutely zero dollars from McConnell’s PAC.  According to the Phoenix New Times, more than $24 million has been spent on other Senate races, and the failure of Mitch McConnell to fund Lake’s campaign could be costing her the race.

With less than a month to go before Election Day, things are looking so brutal for the Kari Lake campaign that powerful national Republicans are leaving it for dead.

The Republican former newscaster is vying to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate, but she’s doing so largely without support from the GOP. A Federal Elections Commission filing from Oct. 8 showed that Lake’s campaign received $0 from the Senate Leadership Fund and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which are run by allies of powerful Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.

At the same time, the Senate Leadership Fund has spent more than $24 million on Senate races in other states, including nearly $8.7 million in Ohio. FEC numbers show that Lake’s opponent, Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego, has a more than $20 million advantage over her in spending from outside groups, the largest edge of any Democratic candidate.

Kari Lake, for her part, has been very clear why the McConnell’s and RINO’s in Congress simply didn’t want her to run to begin with:

  1. They can’t CONTROL HER.
  2. She is PRO-TRUMP.
  3. She is an AMERICA-FIRST Republican.

And the fact is, that threatens the power of McConnell and those he represents.  (And by “represents”… what I really mean is CABAL.  Yes, it’s a real thing.  And yes, it is evil.)

So even on his way out, the McConnell corruption syndicate continues to railroad those who want to put President Trump back in the White House, fighting against the possibility that he has the actual Congressional majority to accomplish his goals.

November can’t come soon enough — for a President Trump win, and a Mitch McConnell sitting in a much lower position than the leadership chair he now occupies.  Neither one can come soon enough for me.
