It was rumored that the move to go on a “media blitz” was highly contested within the Kamala-Walz campaign to begin with. Those rumors include a full-out civil war within the ranks. If the initial rounds of appearances were dubbed a “comedy tour”, the latest debacle in her panicked bid to remain relevant might be labeled something equally fitting: “DRAMATIC ENDING”?
The drama was definitely in the mix as Kamala Harris withered under questioning from Bret Baier; not so much because they were incredibly tough or unexpected questions for anyone watching. But for Kamala, answering ANY question seems to be a monumental undertaking.
If I had to single out one point in particular when I knew the gaskets were failing, the tires were falling off, and the ship was about ready to go down… it would be this one. She has apparently decided to go all-in on the narrative that President Trump is determined to lock up everyone who doesn’t agree with him, or votes for his opponents. Watch this!
Kamala — screaming — has completely cracked under the pressure of the first non-softball interview of her vice presidency.
This is an unmitigated disaster for her. Humiliating. pic.twitter.com/tWTzVKpewS

The subject matter of the conversation covered a lot of territory, according to reporting by Newsweek; everything from the transgender issue, immigration, and her recent (false) claims that President Trump had threatened to “lock people up” because they won’t support him or submit to his will.
It was Harris’ first interview with the network since becoming the Democratic nominee, and it comes as part of her final push to reach independent and undecided voters before Election Day.
During Wednesday’s interview, Harris and Baier went toe-to-toe on everything from immigration, to transgender rights, to Donald Trump’s threats to “lock people up.”
Harris doubled down on a key pillar of her campaign: highlighting the potential risks of a second Trump term and its effect on democracy and the rule of law.
ADVERTISEMENTShe accused Trump of being unable to “handle criticism” and said the Republican nominee’s threats to “lock people up.”
“You and I both know that he has talked about turning the American military on the American people,” Harris said to Baier.
The moment of explosion came as a result of that line of questioning. You could tell as the pressure built and her options for avoiding Bret’s questions seemed to narrow, she did the only thing she knew to do — she raised her voice and exhibited classic “Trump Derangement Syndrome“. (It is obviously a real thing!)
Here’s a slightly longer clip than the earlier one with a little more context. Watch how she panics, considers different avenues of avoidance and deflection, and ultimately decides to simply EXPLODE under pressure. (Notice also, Bret Baier’s struggle not to laugh in her face. I’m not a Baier fan… but I can relate!)
NEW: Kamala Harris fumes after Fox News has a clip ready of Trump after she claimed he called Americans “the enemy within.”
Kamala: Trump is the one who talks about an enemy within…
Baier: We actually asked that question to the former president today. Here it is.

According to a Fox News story on the interview, when Baier pressed her on the issue of Joe Biden’s “acuity”, (to use a term that I know is near and dear to her heart, and likely only just recently added to her list of vocabulary terms), she completely deflected and refused to throw herself farther under her own bus.
Vice President Kamala Harris was confronted with questions about her knowledge of President Biden’s mental decline during her interview Wednesday with Fox News’ Bret Baier.
“You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, that ran around circles on his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished?” Baier asked.
After a brief pause to the question, Harris continued touting Biden’s ability in office.
“Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people,” Harris said.
ADVERTISEMENT“There were no concerns raised?” Baier followed.
“Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot… and Donald Trump is,” Harris responded.
“You met with him at least once a week for three-and-a-half years. You didn’t have any concerns?” Baier pressed.
“I think the American people have a concern about Donald Trump,” Harris responded. “Which is why the people who know him best, including leaders of our national security community have all spoken out, even people who worked for him in the Oval Office, worked with him in the Situation Room and have said he is unfit and dangerous and should never be President of the United States again, including his former vice president, which is why the job was open for him to choose another running mate. So that is a fact. That is a fact.”
As equally entertaining as Kamala’s powder keg moment was the full exchange between President Trump and Harris Faulkner that was shown to Kamala. If ever there was an perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black, it’s this one! (Actually, that’s not true. In this case… the pot is only “claiming” to be black; so scratch that reference.) Here is that full exchange.
Harris Faulkner: Kamala Harris has said you sounded unhinged and unchecked power is in our future.”
President Trump: “They are a party of soundbites… And it is the enemy from within. They are very dangerous.”

All in all, it is hard to imagine that the Kamala-Walz campaign is going to be able to do anything beyond this point to right the ship that now sits firmly at the bottom of the political ocean.
With polls tanking (and I mean TANKING…), mutiny within their own ranks (which seems oddly familiar to when Biden was surreptitiously jettisoned as extra weight), and now her final attempts are pretending she can sit and have a normal conversation about her policy and hold up under the scrutiny of Fox News’ MOST FORGIVING INTERVIEWER… I simply don’t know where the Kamala-Walz campaign goes from here.
It appears to be, simply put, over. With 19 days remaining till Election Day, I know that won’t be true. There will be dangerous seas ahead as the desperation really takes root and spreads like a cancer. But in terms of any legitimate campaign success, I see no path forward for Kamala Harris. I do believe we have just seen the parting shots of the would-be tyrant; or at least the “first” of her parting shots.
