Fed Gov’t: No Funds Left for Americans Devastated by Hurricane (But MILLIONS Spent on Migrants!)

The hypocrisy of the Biden-Kamala administration knows no bounds, and they are already trying to shirk their duty to Americans caught in the devastation of Hurricane Helene.  That may not surprise you.  But the prioritized spending objective that came first… well — that might not surprise you either.

FEMA – Federal Emergency Management Agency.  You would think from the name alone that the purpose of FEMA would be responding to the emergency needs of Americans during a disaster… like a large-scale terror attack, or maybe a hurricane.  But apparently funding the illegal immigration operations of the Biden-Kamala administration takes precedence.

Mayorkas made headlines today when he said point blank that there was no money left for hurricane relief.  Of course, the Dept. of Homeland Security and the White House is now trying to backtrack.  But… he said it plain as day:  “We do not have the funds.  FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”  Check out this Fox News report on the story, so you can hear him make that statement in his own words.

It only takes a few minutes of scrolling social media to come across problems on the ground indicative of what the DHS Secretary said out loud.  I can tell you from experience in disaster zones in various countries over the years — those who want to get boots on the ground to help… find a way.

And those who are interested in using the heartstrings of donors to fill their coffers while hardly ever setting foot in the disaster zone are great at raising funds, and terrible at deploying assets.  That’s why I see posts like the one below on social media, and I know it’s true.  I’ve seen it happen over and over with my own two eyes.  And it looks just like this.  (I’ve pasted the text from her post below for easy viewing.)

Here’s what Kylie Jane Kremer included in the post above with details being reported from sources on the ground:

I was just alerted by friends in Greenville, SC that there is a massive failure by FEMA to deploy assets to assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene and they are feeling beyond frustrated and angry.

FEMA has 12 MEDVAC EC135 helicopters just sitting there in Greenville.

FEMA has 3 C130 cargo planes just sitting there in Greenville.

FEMA also has fuel tankers, ambulances and other equipment ready to deploy, sitting in Greenville, as seen in the videos attached.

These planes, helicopters & other equipment have been sitting since Sunday and have not doing anything for Americans in need. Our tax dollars not being utilized even though they are appropriated for specific situations of emergency just like this.

What the hell is going on? What exactly is FEMA doing besides promising a measly $750 to those affected by Helene??

$941 million FEMA dollars have been given to illegals and now DHS Secretary Mayorkas is asking for more money for FEMA because there isn’t enough to help Americans?!

What about these resources just sitting in Greenville? Why aren’t they being deployed??

People are dying and in desperate need of help. Fellow Americans aren’t even allowed to help because of red tape & money we’ve already paid in taxes isn’t going to help them either.

The Biden-Harris Administration is MASSIVELY FAILING and it is clear American citizens are NOT a priority.

I’m sure I’m not the only one getting Afghanistan withdrawal vibes; the Biden-Harris regime sitting on their hands, saying they need “MORE MONEY!”, which I’m sure they will get.  And meanwhile, regular Americans (you know… the good guys), are stepping up to the plate and coming to the aid of their fellow Americans — often IN SPITE of warnings from the Federal Government trying to stop them from doing so!

And if it wasn’t bad enough that the Feds are playing money games with the plight of American’s in danger, the contrast with how willingly they spent FEMA FUNDS to take care of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS on behalf of the Biden-Harris White House really takes the cake!

And that is only a drop in the bucket compared to the nearly BILLION DOLLARS (that we know of!) spent during the Biden-Harris administration on taking care of illegal immigrants — WHICH CAME OUT OF FEMA’S BUDGET!  Check out this spot-on report from Glenn Beck on that issue.  (I’ll put the video below for easier viewing.)

I have to agree with Glenn Beck and Greg Abbott on this.  The policies of the Federal Government under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who are willing to POUR American tax dollars (or just PRINT “FREE MONEY”!) into taking care of illegals has led directly to — good Lord, I hate using this word SO MUCH — INEPTITUDE of the U.S. government in responding to it’s own people in need!

But as I said earlier, and as Fox News is now reporting, the backpedaling is in full effect as the Biden-Harris White House tries to mitigate the damage done by Mayorkas’ words (though I’m sure still expecting an auto-refill of FEMA’s bank account).

Mayorkas had grabbed headlines on Wednesday when he said that FEMA does not have enough funding to make it through hurricane season, which lasts until November.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” he said. “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

Mayorkas spoke on Air Force Once as the states and the federal government assess the damage from Helene, which hit several states and has killed more than 160 people. His calls echoed those by President Biden, who said that Congress may need to pass a supplemental spending bill to help states.

Congress recently made $20 billion in immediate funding available for FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund as part of a bipartisan deal to avoid a government shutdown at the end of last month. But Congress is currently out until mid-November, after Election Day.

Mayorkas later clarified his remarks at the same event, saying that the short-term funding does not give the agency stability.

Not to say, “I told you so”… but, I told you so.  That is how the United Nations, the US government, and all those government agencies continually keep the money rivers flowing; they warn of disastrous consequences unless they get a “special refilling” of their coffers, while in reality there are plenty of stop gaps in place designed to mitigate any funding issues when truly emergency scenarios are being considered.

The problem is that’s all the leeway that the current out-of-control federal government needs to SPEND, SPEND, AND SPEND SOME MORE!  In this case, they felt more than comfortable spending nearly a billion dollars on INTENTIONALLY bringing in illegal immigrants and fast tracking them as voters!

But as the previous Fox News story points out, while Republicans primarily derided the idiocy of spending so much on illegal immigrants only to turn around and cry out for a rush of funding for hurricane relief, the democrats tried to pretend that earmarking funds somehow lessens the fact that AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS are going to illegals rather than Americans in need!

Meanwhile, Mayorkas’ remarks about a potential lack of funding had drawn criticism from Republicans and conservatives, who had pointed to funding used by FEMA for grants to house and care for illegal immigrants who had crossed the southern border.

“Mayorkas and FEMA — immediately stop spending money on illegal immigration resettlement and redirect those funds to areas hit by the hurricane,” Gov. Greg Abbott said on X.

Critics referenced the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) spent $650 million in FY 23 on grants to non-profits and local organizations to assist migrants. But the Biden administration pushed back, noting that the funding is appropriated by Congress and completely separate from disaster relief funding.

Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of Americans currently trying to survive, cutoff from any help in the mountains of North Carolina.  I really don’t think they care one bit about funding appropriations.  A word comes to mind for the language molesting democrats currently running DHS: ASININE.

Speaking of something that is asinine, here’s Mayorkas trying to push back and pretend he didn’t say what he said:

And here’s a little common sense from the New York Post covering the story, if you’re feeling as though I’ve overwhelmed you with far too much to swallow from the DHS.  Maybe some common sense statements will do us all some good:

The lack of available FEMA funds stoked outrage among congressional Republicans, who are not due back in session until after Election Day.

“The Biden-Harris administration took more than a billion tax dollars that had been allocated to FEMA for disaster relief and used it to house illegal aliens,” fumed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). “Now, they’ve abandoned American hurricane victims in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), whose district neighbors the disaster zone, tweeted: “FEMA spending over a billion dollars on illegals while they leave Americans stranded and without help is treasonous. U.S. citizens are dying. Pray for our country folks.”

Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) added: “‘The Biden-Harris FEMA spent over $1 BILLION on funding illegal aliens. America LAST.”

“Connect the dots, if you can,” wrote Tim Murtaugh, an adviser to former President Donald Trump’s campaign. “DHS says FEMA might not have enough cash to help people through hurricane season. But in 2 years of a new Biden-Harris program, they’ve spent $1 BILLION on housing and other services for migrants.”

The dollar amounts required to pull off Joe and Kamala’s illegal immigration are astronomical.  And as the days tick on and the window for securing safety for those Americans trapped in the devastation of the hurricane, I highly doubt those just trying to survive another day either know or care for the funding excuses of the Biden-Harris regime.  They just want to be rescued.  Considering how quickly the big-government democrats are in assigning a government-based solution to every problem… it’s awfully hard to watch as they once again fail to show up when they actually should.
