JD Vance Goes Scorched Earth on Walz: “Your Running Mate, Not Mine”

The debate in New York between JD Vance and Tim Walz was almost guaranteed to be explosive.  With things in the Mideast developing as they have today, Iran raining down hundreds of ballistic missiles on Israeli cities, I had a feeling it wouldn’t take long for the issue of global insecurity and rising tensions to come into focus at the debate.

Sure enough, the CBS questioning started off on exactly that topic.  And boy did JD Vance make Tim Walz squirm like the valor-stealing soy boy he is!  Walz actually fielded the question first (we’ll get to that in a bit).  But I REALLY want to show you how JD Vance came out ready to take care of business.

BOOM!!!  I’m not sure if Walz thought that Vance would just let him off easy when he tried to pin the ramifications of the Biden-Harris ineptitude and incompetency on President Trump, or what?  But that is certainly not what happened!

I told you we’d get to the train-wreck of an answer that Tim Walz had leading up to the moment that JD Vance completely ate him for lunch, and we will.  But check out this video that shows Vance’s answer in more context, along with the initial loaded question from the CBS moderator:

I’m sure you caught the bias reminiscent of the ABC debacle.  I don’t think the left-leaning media can help themselves!  They can’t even PRETEND to be objective for 90 minutes!  But other than that obvious zinger of an answer, did you catch the part about “the sequence of events” Vance laid out that led to where we are now, with a “very broken world” because of the Biden-Harris Administration?

He made a very striking factual statement at the end of that line of reasoning: “When was the last time that an American president didn’t have a major conflict break out? The only answer is during the four years that Donald Trump was President.”  That is a very hard truth to get around.  And I have a feeling it is that sentiment that has Progressives shaking in their boots right about now.

Here’s how that opening line of questioning was characterized by NewsMax:

Sparks quickly flew out of the gate Tuesday night during CBS News’ vice presidential debate between Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

When asked about Iran’s nuclear capabilities, Walz said, “Iran is closer to a nuclear weapon than they were before because of [former President] Donald Trump’s fickle leadership.

“And when Iran shot down an American aircraft in international airspace, Donald Trump tweeted, because that’s the standard diplomacy of Donald Trump,” he said.

Vance quickly shot back, arguing that diplomacy is not a dirty word.

“You yourself just said Iran is as close to a nuclear weapon today as they have ever been and, Gov. Walz, you blamed Donald Trump. Who has been the vice president for the last 3 1/2 years? And the answer is your running mate, not mine,” he said.

The more I watch JD Vance, the more impressed I am how he can so easily handle multiple twisted untruths all at once, with apparent ease.  He quickly dispensed with the moderator’s false dichotomy argument, allowing her to paint President Trump’s actions as either too soft when he utilized diplomacy in the past, or over-the-top whenever he took decisive action in response to our enemies abroad.  “Diplomacy isn’t a dirty word.”  Brilliant!  And on to the next fallacy he went!

In all fairness, I promised to show you the unquestionable confusion and unsteady answer that Walz offered up to that first line of questioning surrounding the Mideast.  Here’s how Fox News affiliate in Spokane, WA described that debacle:

Walz, answering a question on whether he’d support a preemptive strike on Iran as it’s launched missiles into Israel, quickly pivoted to painting Donald Trump as too dangerous for the country and the world in an unstable moment.

“What’s fundamental here is that steady leadership is going to matter,” said Walz, the Democratic governor of Minnesota. “And the world saw it on that debate stage a few weeks ago, a nearly 80-year-old Donald Trump talking about crowd sizes is not what we need in this moment.”

Vance, in his reply, argued that Trump is an intimidating figure whose presence on the international stage is its own deterrent.

“Donald Trump actually delivered stability,” he said.

I have to say, that is a fairly accurate microcosm of how the entire debate is shaping up!  Walz makes some wildly off-the-mark accusation against Trump, and JD Vance very easily swats it aside using the most effective and powerful tool of persuasion known to man — he simply says what all of us already know is true because we have eyes and ears and a braineven those who historically have democratic allegiance.  (There is a REASON for the mass exodus from the democratic party lately!)

As promised, here is Walz’ answer to the Mideast questioning.  You might want to sit down first… it might leave you a little unsteady on your feet.  He tends to stop and start a lot, without really getting anywhere.  That’s a sure recipe for vertigo!

If it wasn’t so serious, this would be completely comical.  (I can’t help it — it’s completely comical anyway!)  But the fact that the most inexperienced Presidential candidate in history has chosen someone as her running mate who is even more illogical and out of touch with reality than she is — something that only a few months ago would have been considered impossible to do by most Americans! — is just the perfect nail in the coffin for the democratic party, as I see it.

It’s one thing to counter your opponent with reasonable and logical arguments that back up why your stance on this or that differs from theirs, but it is a completely different thing all together when you can’t even fully articulate your own position as a stand-alone concept when you are given a mic and an open space of time to do so!

So it doesn’t surprise me one bit that JD Vance completely demolished Walz in the very first line of questions in tonight’s debate.  The only question in my mind… is whether or not this will translate to a WIN in November for the Trump-Vance ticket, and a return to a strong America, and a safer world.

That’s the prayer.  That’s the hope.  And we shall see.  But that takes more than a VP candidate eating another VP candidate for lunch.  It takes votes, and it takes some degree of integrity in the election process.  And even with the earth still scorched and smoldering in the spot where JD Vance eviscerated the fumbling Communist-sympathizing Walz, it still remains to be seen if the duo of votes and integrity will show up in force come November, or not.
