WATCH: Tim Walz Flips Off Trump Supporters at Michigan Game

Voters are starting to learn more about Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and it seems clear that many Americans don’t particularly like what they see.

That was obvious during his appearance at a recent college football game, where critics began booing him loudly and he appeared to respond with an obscene hand gesture.

According to the Post Millennial:

Vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) appeared to give the finger to Michigan college students in Ann Arbour Sunday where he was attending the Michigan-Minnesota college football game. Michigan fans booed Walz, told him to “get out of here” and shouted “Trump 2024, baby” at the governor.

Walz watched the game in a private box shared by former US Rep. Beto O’Rourke, according to Fox News. The Michigan football team ended up defeating Minnesota’s football team 27-24.

The incident attracted significant social media attention:

Walz also attracted backlash for his own social media remarks about the game, as Fox News reported:

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz attended the Michigan-Minnesota game on Saturday, and was subsequently slammed on social media for a post celebrating his home state’s rival hours after he was booed by college football fans.

“I’ll always be a Minnesota guy. But after meeting some great people at the Big House, I must admit – Michiganders know how to host a good game day,” Walz posted to his X account following the game.

Walz’s appearance at the game was underscored by a viral social media video showing college football fans booing his motorcade on Saturday as it made its way to the stadium.

“VP Candidate Tim Walz p—ed off Michigan fans,” a TikTok user captioned the video that has racked up more than 1.5 million views on TikTok alone.

Here’s some additional coverage of Walz’s reception at the game:
