Crowd Goes Wild Over Singer’s Vulgar Response To Americans Who Hate The Country

Country music has long been populated by artists unafraid to stand up for patriotism and call out those who relentlessly trash the United States.

For his part, Hardy continued this tradition during a recent performance.

According to the Daily Wire:

Hardy introduced his song “God’s Country,” which he co-wrote with Blake Shelton, by discussing his feelings about his homeland and those who hate being here.

“Especially this year with all the crazy sh** going on, I see a lot of people posting and talking sh** about living in the United States of America and being a United States citizen,” Hardy began. “And to that I say, ‘f*** you,’” he continued as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause.

“If you don’t like living here, then go f***ing live somewhere else, motherf***er. The United States is the greatest country on this planet, period. … I’m damn proud to live in this country, I’m damn proud of it.”

He went on, “We’ve got people that work their f***in’ a** off every day of their life, put their life on the f***ing line so we can go to concerts in Neyland Stadium… and that’s a country I like to call ‘God’s Country.’”

The outburst sparked a rowdy applause by those in attendance and fueled significant social media discussion:

Hardy’s on-stage remarks came after another artist expressed clearly anti-American sentiments during a performance:

Macklemore later attempted to explain away his remarks, as King5 reported:

“My thoughts and feelings are not always expressed perfectly or politely,” Macklemore, 41, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, wrote in an Instagram post. “Sometimes I slip up and get caught in the moment. Saturday night was one of those times.”

The video was taken at a charity music event at Seattle’s Seward Park over the weekend called Palestine Will Live Forever, benefiting pro-Palestinian organizations.

Macklemore went on to say in his statement that he has been “disillusioned and disheartened” at the U.S. government’s funding of the war in Gaza and how the conflict has unfolded.

“I wish I had been in a better place with my grief and anger,” Macklemore said. “But the truth is I’m not OK. I haven’t been.”

His response wasn’t enough to protect him from the consequences of his actions, however, as this news clip explains:
