State Democratic Lawmaker Accused Of Fondling Dancer, Offering Stripper $5K For Sex – Faces Calls To Resign

A Democratic state lawmaker faces accusations of fondling a dancer at a strip club and offering a stripper $5,000 for sex.

Kentucky State Rep. Daniel Grossberg was banned for life from the Louisville strip club after the alleged incident, Lexington Herald-Leader reports.

In response, the Kentucky Democratic Party voted to ban the lawmaker from party events and called for his resignation.

Grossberg faced prior allegations of sexually harassing multiple young women.

“Given Representative Grossberg’s disturbing record of misconduct, the Kentucky Democratic Party’s State Central Executive Committee passed a resolution that calls for his resignation and prohibits him from attending Kentucky Democratic Party events,” party spokesman Jonathan Levin said, according to Lexington Herald-Leader.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear also called for Grossberg to resign.

Lexington Herald-Leader reports:

On Friday, the Kentucky House of Representatives’ Democratic Caucus voted to expel Grossberg, who had previously been suspended from caucusing with fellow Democrats.

Grossberg, of Louisville, has been effectively shut out by his party after a series of reports by the Herald-Leader in which multiple women have accused him of inappropriate advances, interactions and communications.

The Herald-Leader reported Friday that Grossberg was banned for life from a Louisville strip club after one dancer said he moved her underwear to try to touch her genitals as she performed. Another said he had offered her $5,000 for sex.

Previously, six women have come forward to say that he sent them sexually charged messages or interacted with them in a way that made them feel uncomfortable.

Grossberg denied sexually harassing the women or abusing his office.

According to the New York Post, the 45-year-old lawmaker is married and a regular at the club.

From the New York Post:

“You don’t know who I am,” the allegedly inebriated lawmaker told Foxy’s manager as he was being booted, warning the staff that he “could shut this place down.”

“I don’t care if you’re Donald Trump,” the manager allegedly shot back, the Herald-Leader said. “I don’t care who you are. You can’t treat girls like this.”

Asked about the claims, Grossberg called them “outlandish.”

“The allegations get more outlandish with each story, but they won’t stop me from continuing to work tirelessly to serve my constituents,” he said in a statement last week.

”Like many people my age, I have been to adult clubs, including Foxy’s (sic),” he said. “I have never solicited prostitution from anyone, nor have I referenced my office to gain advantage.”

Grossberg has been under investigation for inappropriate conduct, including claims that he quizzed a young female aide about her body, her sexual history and her sexual preferences while drunk.
