BREAKING: Individual Has Successfully Scaled White House Perimeter Fence

An unknown individual successfully scaled the White House fence earlier in the day, according to breaking reports.

According to Fox 5 News in DC, the individual was arrested before entering any of the buildings:

An individual was arrested Thursday after scaling the north side fence of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, according to the U.S. Secret Service.

The incident occurred just after noon on Sept. 20.

The Secret Service says its Uniformed Division officers quickly apprehended the person who had never entered the building — which is located next to the White House.

The Washington Post is reporting that the person never entered the building, and was taking to a Hospital for medical evaluation after the incident, according to a Secret Service spokesperson.

The person scaled the north side fence of the building around 12:15 p.m., U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring said. The executive office building sits adjacent to the White House and houses a majority of the offices where White House staffers work.

Herring said the person never entered the building, and the incident did not affect any people under U.S. Secret Service protection. The individual, whom authorities did not identify, was transported to George Washington Hospital for a medical evaluation, Herring said.

Authorities did not respond to questions about whether the person successfully got over the fence.

Considering the recent turmoil surrounding US Secret Service protocols, this is sure to raise temperature levels in the USSS leadership.  This news has just become available, and no further information is currently known about the person who jumped the fence or what their intentions were in doing so.

According to the timelines, President Biden would have been at the White House when the incident occurred, leaving shortly afterward.  This story will be updated as soon as more information is available.
