It wouldn’t ordinarily be considered “news” for the President of the United States to hold a cabinet meeting unless it had to do with some other big event — impending war, some national catastrophe, or something of that magnitude. But for Joe Biden, meeting with his full cabinet is something akin to expecting Kamala Harris to hold a press conference or sit down for an interview without softball questions; it’s not likely.
But today, Joe Biden actually held a cabinet meeting at the White House — for the FIRST TIME IN 11 MONTHS. But who was sitting at the HEAD OF THE TABLE? Not the President, but Jill Biden, of course. And from what we can glean so far, she immediately took over!

Not to mention… when did the White House stationary change to include Jill Biden’s signature?

According to a CNN report, Biden held today’s Cabinet meeting to unveil his “sprint to the finish” push to ensure his legacy is highlighted before his term ends:
President Joe Biden will instruct Cabinet members Friday to “sprint to the finish,” a White House official said, as he looks to burnish legacy items while ensuring as much of his agenda is implemented before a potential second Trump presidency.
“He will direct his Cabinet to get as much work done as possible – whether that is moving funding out the door, announcing new programs or policies or delivering on programs and policies we have already announced,” the official said.
Coming almost a year after he last convened his Cabinet, and exactly four months until the next president is inaugurated, Biden’s position at Friday’s meeting is drastically different from when he last spoke to his top officials.
Fox News immediately covered the story of what might ordinarily be an unlikely news item. I wonder — was the stationary changed just for this event? Or should we simply refer to Jill Biden as Mrs. President from now on? She did sit at one of the heads of the table. And was it me, or did Joe seem more like the person chosen to introduce her… than a President conducting State business at a cabinet-level meeting?

One of the primary items unveiled at the Cabinet meeting was something the White House is calling “The Record” — a website devoted to highlighting the (alleged) achievements of Biden during his term in office, according to The Hill:
The White House on Friday unveiled “The Record,” a new part of its website to highlight President Biden’s agenda during his four years in office.
In an announcement sent exclusively to The Hill, the White House said “The Record” will focus on showing Americans the progress the Biden-Harris administration has made and will include stories from voters who benefited from policies.
“President Biden has gotten more done in one term than most presidents do in two. As we sprint to the finish line, the president wants to make sure we show the American people what the Biden-Harris administration has delivered for them,” Christian Tom, assistant to the president and director of digital strategy, told The Hill.
He added, “We’re going to do this in a digital-first way to meet Americans where they are, from a new digital series to highlight individual stories of people benefitting from the Biden-Harris Agenda to rolling out ‘The Record’ — a comprehensive look at an extraordinary four years.”
ADVERTISEMENTBiden will mention “The Record” at his Cabinet meeting set for 11:30 a.m. Friday.
I could take issue with Biden’s assistant and his math. I’m not sure how you calculate in such a way to be able to say with a straight face that Biden has “gotten more done in one term than most presidents do in two.” And not only do I suspect that’s not quite accurate, I certainly PRAY it isn’t, as well… considering the kinds of things Biden considers an accomplishment! (Things like… facilitating the safe crossing of illegals crossing into the U.S. and instructing Border Patrol to conceal it.)
Supposedly, Jill Biden primarily spoke about women’s health at the first cabinet meeting in 11 months. Not that there’s a war in Ukraine, or conflict in Israel, or a border crisis that his Vice President promises to fix on her NEXT “day 1” — God forbid she gets another one.
At any rate, Cabinet meetings apparently must be the new press conferences. Because whatever that was… was not the President coordinating with his cabinet to establish cohesive leadership on all things foreign and domestic facing the nation. That… was Jill Biden’s best attempt at her version of nailing “their” legacy down, in spite of the complete failure that it is in reality. Why should we expect anything more… at this point. To quote Jill Biden, “Sometimes the White House surprises you.” And sometimes… it does exactly what you expect it to do, no surprise at all.
This is so bizarre on so many levels. pic.twitter.com/Ote4CQpk96
