[WATCH] “Very Real Possibility” There Is A “Mole Within The Secret Service,” House Republican Says

Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), a former U.S. Navy SEAL, said there’s possibly a “mole in the Secret Service.”

“My advice to the president is to bolster your private security around you,” Crane said.

“Not only to fill holes in the gaps that the Secret Service continues to leave open, but also to watch the watchers. There is a very real possibility at this point that there is a mole within the Secret Service team surrounding the president or at the highest levels of the Secret Service,” he continued.

A former FBI assistant director told Newsweek that the suspect may have had inside information on Trump’s whereabouts.

“Chris Swecker says there is a ‘scary’ possibility someone else was involved,” Collin Rugg wrote.

“The biggest question to answer is: ‘How did the would-be assassin know to be at that location at that time?’” Swecker told the outlet.

“There are only three possible answers: He guessed and got very lucky; he conducted surveillance on Trump and followed him to the golf course or he had inside information about Trump’s schedule,” he added.

“The last answer is scary and has implications that another person was involved,” he noted.

“During an interview with Fox News, Martin County Sheriff Will Snyder said the ‘million dollar question’ is how Routh knew where Trump was going to be,” Rugg said.

Martin County Sheriff William Snyder questioned whether the suspect acted alone or if he’s part of a larger conspiracy to assassinate Trump.

“How does a guy, from not here, get all the way to Trump international, realize that the former President of the United States is golfing and is able to get a rifle in that vicinity,” he said.
