I’ve been seeing a lot of talk recently about how we need to go back to the time when debates were “civil” and we could disagree without disrespecting the other side.
And I want to comment on this concept, because quite frankly I think it’s very uninformed demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about the true evil facing America.
It’s a take that could only be offered by someone who is still “blue pilled”.
Allow me to explain….
First, I’ll show you what they say.
Our conversations and debates need to go back to sounding like this, they say:
Our conversations can still sound like this, even if tonight's debate didn't.
It's up to us to reintroduce respect and civility back into our dialogue. pic.twitter.com/kJS0IfkJ3h

They often point to Mitt Romney debating Barrack Obama to make their point:
Let’s think back to when having an actual debate where both sides showed civility stopped happening. When could that have been? I’m going to go with 2016. Then again in 2020 and now 2024. Was there anything that was a constant in those 3 years? 😳👀 https://t.co/Q1wX6ug5g9

Look at those two buddies, just having a great time smiling and joking around with each other!
How nice!
What great moments, right?

Or this:
It’s no secret that our rhetoric has become viciously hostile, polarized to the point where it feels like we're at each other's throats constantly.

It’s no secret that our rhetoric has become viciously hostile, polarized to the point where it feels like we’re at each other’s throats constantly.
The discourse today is tearing this country apart in ways that feel impossible to reconcile.
But this wasn’t always the case. If we look back to the 1960s, during the Kennedy era, public debates had a sense of dignity and respect—even amidst deeply opposing viewpoints.
JFK, for instance, faced off against Nixon in their historic debates, where they fundamentally disagreed on the direction of the country, but the conversation remained civil, rooted in the ideas, not personal attacks.
Fast forward to today, and it’s like we’ve forgotten how to debate without demonizing.
We’ve become so entrenched in tribalism that we don’t just argue over policies anymore—we see the “other side” as an existential threat. This is wildly inappropriate for the complex and nuanced problems we face.
The world isn’t black-and-white, and our challenges can’t be solved with “us versus them” mentalities.
We’re fracturing ourselves, and if we don’t remember how to communicate with respect, with some kind of mutual understanding, we’ll lose any chance of building a society where individualism, autonomy, and freedom can thrive.
We looked back at the Romney vs. Obama and Bush vs. Gore presidential debates…
Sometimes, when we share content reflecting on more respectful political moments, we're seen as naive, or engaging in trivial "kumbaya" messaging or tone policing.
But insults and dehumanizing… pic.twitter.com/3a5ghfPcS9

Ok, enough of that…that’s about all I can take.
I have to jump in here.
If your take is that we need to go back to Romney vs. Obama because it was more civil, then you have been absolutely ASLEEP for the past 10 years!
And sadly, I know that’s still a (far too large) percentage of the population.
Folks, there is no “going back” to that, not if you want to save our Country!
Going back to that means taking the Blue Pill and going back to a happy illusion!
Sure, it looked more civil.
Wanna know why?
BECAUSE THEY’RE ALL ON THE SAME SIDE!
John Kerry and George W. Bush….both Skull & Bones. They’re all in the same club! And they just take turns who gets to be in charge and it’s all one big joke to them!
Remember this?

You wanna know why they hate President Trump so much?
And why it’s become so vitriolic?
And why they keep trying to KILL HIM?
Second Assassination attempt just today!
It’s because he’s not in their big club.
He hates their big club.
And he’s the only real threat they’ve had to their club in decades!
Ronald Reagan make some small waves about trying to break up their club and he got shot. He was never the same afterwards, he made sure to toe that line very well the rest of his presidency.
The prior threat before him?
I think you all know it was JFK and they killed him in broad daylight.
They’re tried twice now to kill President Trump.
So respectfully, to anyone who says “we need to go back to civility” you either haven’t red-pilled yet and you DESPERATELY need to, or you know the truth and you’d just prefer to go back to easier times. Which is fine, that’s called taking the Blue Pill.
As for me and my house?
We see the enemy.
We know the enemy.
The enemy has been exposed.
The enemy is on the run.
We are in the final chapters of this decades-long battle and we have a chance of winning this thing.
Throw that all away so we can go back to FAKE civility and fake acting like they’re on two different sides?
NO WAY IN HELL.
We finish this thing, and hopefully we can red-pill the last of those who can still be saved along the way.
