Yep, you read the headline right.
Haitians are eating cats and dogs in Ohio, and now, in New York, there’s apparently been a huge uptick in animal sacrifices.
Since July, at least eight tortured animals were found in Jamaica Bay, near Queens. These include five mutilated pigs, a dead dog with a broken neck, and an almost-dead rat in a bag with chicken bones.
All this is causing New York City authorities to ramp up efforts to combat the ritualistic killing of animals.
See for yourself (warning: some of these photos and videos are pretty disturbing):

The New York Post reported on the grisly details of the increase in animal sacrifices:
City and federal parks authorities are beefing up resources near Jamaica Bay in Queens following The Post’s expose last week of surging animal sacrifices in the area.
The National Parks Service promised to install a pair of mobile lights by the Addabbo Bridge in the federally-managed Spring Creek Park to ward off people torturing and killing animals under the cover of darkness, Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Queens) announced.
NPS spokeswoman Daphne Yun said the agency would also provide additional parks police patrol in the area, where animal rescuers said at least eight animals were found dead or maimed since late July.
These have included five wounded pigs, a near-dead baby rat stuffed in a bag with chicken bones, and a dog carcass with its neck snapped.
The city’s Parks Department also pledged to increase overnight patrols in Sunset Cove Park, Broad Channel, where gruesome animal remains also have been found, Ariola’s office said.
So, why is this all happening?
Well, there’s an easy answer that the media doesn’t want to answer.
In the evil practice of voodoo, which is very common in places like Haiti, animals, including cats and dogs, are commonly used as sacrifices…
From The Post Millennial:
Since July, at least eight animals have been found either dead or severely injured in the vicinity. Authorities discovered five wounded pigs, a nearly dead rat stuffed in a bag with chicken bones, and the carcass of a dog with a broken neck. City Councilwoman Joann Ariola emphasized that the New York City Parks Department will be increasing overnight patrols, particularly in areas such as Sunset Cove Park, where the remains have been found.
“I’ve gotten in touch with my partners at both the federal and city level, and we are going to bring a new level of enforcement to the area and really crack down on this sickening behavior,” Ariola said to the New York Post. “Animals should not be getting tortured and mutilated for any reason. This ends now.”
Rescuers as well as a local religious leader have suggested that a sect of Hindu devotees in the area by Jamaica Bay are responsible for these animal sacrifices. But other religious groups in the surrounding area, including those who practice voodoo, have been known to use nearby beaches and parks to carry out rituals as well, per the New York Post.
Joey Mannarino pointed out that two decades ago, places like NYT were CONDEMNING this practice:
Back in January of 1992, the New York Times was lamenting the situation of animal sacrifice in Haiti.
Back then, they were able to condemn it.
But, you can read clearly how they are saying that cats are a typical Haitian voodoo sacrifice.
How come now that it’s happening in… pic.twitter.com/jHHuGtKLUl

And yet, now they’re laughing it off as “another crazy MAGA conspiracy theory?”
What gives?
This is real, and this is absolute evil. There’s no way around it.
We need a president who fears God and will do everything in his power to bring our country back to basic morality…
I fear what will happen without it.
