Pres. Trump: “YOU’RE FIRED!” to Fed Employees Censoring Free Speech!

“YOU’RE FIRED!”   Word has it that President Trump was warned against doing the show, “The Apprentice”.  He went with his gut, and it became the number one show on TV.  There was a time that the phrase “You’re fired!” was one of the most common catchphrases in America.

This time, he’s promised to do more firing than he ever has before.  At an outdoor rally (yes… he STILL DOES THOSE!), he made a promise to restore free speech to it’s once high pedestal in America.  Here’s the clip:

“I will sign an executive order banning any federal employee from colluding to limit speech and we will fire every federal bureaucrat who is engaged in domestic censorship under the Harris regime.”

Those are beautiful words to the ears of freedom-loving Americans!  Even those of us who aren’t real big on the whole “executive order” thing as a general rule — we’ll choose our battles and chalk another point up for FREEDOM.

Things have been dicey lately on the freedom of speech side of the house.  Social media platforms are being banned in different countries right and left.  The progressive left is getting so censor-happy that long time democrats are jumping ship nearly every day.

This election is shaping up to be as freedom-of-speech focused as the one between Jefferson and Madison a few years back.  Watch this clip of RFK Jr describing what Biden did within hours of being sworn in:

With some detail on what went down at the rally in Wisconsin, here’s some current reporting from ECONOTIMES:

Speaking at a rally in Wisconsin, former President Donald Trump pledged a sweeping crackdown on what he describes as federal efforts to limit free speech, promising to take decisive action if he wins back the White House in 2024. Trump’s fiery remarks included a vow to sign an executive order banning federal employees from collaborating to restrict speech, a move he claims will restore free expression in America.

During his speech, Trump framed the issue as a direct attack on Americans’ First Amendment rights. He argued that federal employees have overstepped their bounds by allegedly working with tech companies and other entities to limit the speech of political opponents and conservative figures. Trump’s proposed solution is an executive order that would prohibit any federal official from engaging in such activities and, further, to fire bureaucrats involved in what he called “domestic censorship.” (Emphasis added.)

Rumors have swirled for weeks about a serious reset of sorts in the “deep state” if and when President Trump steps foot in the Oval Office again next January.  The “deep state” — that bureaucratic nightmare also known as the SWAMP.  How do you ultimately drain a swamp?  If you don’t get rid of the FILTH turning everything nasty and rotten, you’re wasting your time.  And it sounds like that is exactly what President Trump has in mind for round 2 in the White House.

Here’s an excerpt from a story on The Post Millennial with a good overview of the current free speech battlefield:

Attacks on free speech have been coming from Democrat officials as well as from media outlets that claim there should be limits to the far-reaching amendment that protects Americans’ rights to speak, write, peacefully protest, and practice their religion freely without government interference. The Biden-Harris administration launched a short-lived Disinformation Governance Board, headed by a former advisor to the Ukrainian government. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in 2022 at its creation that “we’re bringing — the goal is to bring the resources of the department together to address this threat.” The stated purpose was “to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia.”

During it’s term in the White House, the Biden-Harris administration has been accused of colluding with social media companies to suppress so-called disinformation, misinformation, and malinformation, which is true information that is inconvenient as it undermines trust in institutions. This has been revealed through congressional investigations, like those undertaken by the Weaponization of Government Committee in the US House, lawsuits, such as that brought against the Biden-Harris administration on behalf of citizens who were suppressed and censored, and through Elon Musk’s sharing of internal communications within Twitter after he took over the platform.

That picture that paints has a lot of stark contrast, but I think it’s a fair assessment.  What is likely to happen if (God forbid) we see a Kamala-Walz administration?  I would be shocked if we didn’t see the most widespread and restrictive crackdown on free speech that any of us have EVER seen firsthand.  Just watch Kamala talking about the issue:

She doesn’t really lean in the direction of “dangerous freedom” over “peaceful slavery”.  And in America, that’s the institutionalized original intent of the founders.  Why?  Because that’s what it takes to hold on to freedom.

It takes the willingness to afford no less freedom to every single person than you afford yourself.  Anything less, and we’re on the march towards tyranny — do no pass go, do not collect $200.  And a “get out of jail free” card is highly unlikely to be honored, even if you did have one.

Contrast that, with this from back in 2020:

When I worked in the insurance industry, there was a term we knew well: contra proferentem.  Latin for “against the offeror”.  You’ll never hear that phrase from an insurance salesman, but anyone who ever handles liability investigations knows it means whenever there is a question, whenever an ambiguous situation arises and there’s a question – the “tie” goes to the person, not the insurance company.

That concept is very similar to how the American Founders thought about freedom, including freedom of speech.  When push comes to shove… freedom of speech wins out.  There’s one big difference in the last two clips – Kamala proves over and over that for her, freedom of speech can be compromised on a whim; her whim.

But President Trump is consistent in his language and approach.  He leans HEAVILY towards freedom, whenever there is a question.  That, is Thomas Jefferson’s “dangerous freedom”.  And that is what freedom requires.  It’s not safe.  It never will be.  And those who try to strike that balance end up doing a disfavor to the American people and harming the cause of freedom. These things don’t always balance out.  When push comes to shove… somebody, sometimes, actually has to WIN.

As I’ve already shown, President Trump has a history of siding with freedom, and he has just as much history FIRING those who cross the line — not just on TV.  Check out this warning he issued just a few days ago:

“…every official responsible for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, turn in their resignation letters by noon on inauguration day.”

If that’s the plan, I have to ask… what about Kamala?  Last one in the room when it was decision time, right???

It’s funny.  It’s satisfying to envision.  But it’s also exactly what needs to happen.  For free speech.  For American in general.  And I’m praying we see that reality materialize, and a return to free speech, just as he’s promised.

I have a feeling he’s going to make good on that promise.
