ANOTHER “STEEL”? Swipes Trump’s Policy, CALLS IT HER OWN!

The “flip-flop” is still in!  And it is “STEEL” one of Kamala’s favorite tactics.  Check out this quick clip where she just claimed a specific and consistent policy on the American steel industry —  as her own.

There’s only one problem — that’s the complete opposite of her track record on safeguarding American jobs in general, and American steel production in particular, for her ENTIRE TENURE in Joe Biden’s administration!

Did she just claim that she has ALWAYS been in favor of keeping U.S. steel production “American owned and American operated” and that she “will always have the back of American steel workers“?  President Trump’s policy track record has determined that is a lie.

Check out this (sarcastically hilarious) video of JD Vance pushing back against the Kamala’s flip-flop tactics:

The reality is just what JD Vance outlined in that clip.  Kamala Harris has had nearly four years to take steps to address the issue of safeguarding the American steel industry from foreign takeover and avoid the national security dangers the Biden-Harris administration is only now heeding, because they have no choice.

Here’s what has Kamala (and even Joe Biden, now) flip-flopping so fast.  Nippon Steel, a Japanese company, is attempting a $14.9 billion dollar takeover of the U.S. company… U.S. Steel.  And besides the obvious potential hit to the U.S. job market (in itself a huge political point of argument), there is now a national security concern.  We are talking about steel at a time when the globe is teetering on the edge of WW3.  And you can’t fight a global conflict without steel… and lots of it.

For a little more insight into the specific situation at hand and the danger that the Biden-Harris administration is now being forced to address (because they simply can’t pretend the danger isn’t real any longer)… check out this from CNN:

President Joe Biden is prepared to block Japan’s Nippon Steel’s proposed acquisition of US Steel, two sources familiar with the matter said, a move that would deal a major blow to the $14 billion merger that has become a lightning rod in an election year as candidates on both sides of the aisle vow to protect American manufacturing.

A White House official would not comment on the president’s decision but said the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which is investigating the proposed merger on national security grounds, has not transmitted its recommendations to Biden yet. The president would oppose the deal, one source said, if the CFIUS committee recommended the deal not go through or withheld a recommendation.

“CFIUS hasn’t transmitted a recommendation to the president, and that’s the next step in this process,” the White House official said.

That was yesterday.  And the recommendation from the CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) has been delivered to Joe Biden.  And just like President Trump has understood all this time, including in his first term in the White House when he made American Steel production a national security concern, there’s a problem, and that problem is China.

For more on that, check this short clip of President Trump’s Economic Advisor, Kevin Hassett:

Did you catch that?  “It’s crucial if we have a military confrontation with a major power that we have a lot of steel, which is why President Trump issued an order to protect American steel — but sadly, Kamala and Biden have been asleep at the wheel.”

China has about three times the capacity they would need to produce enough steel to fight a large war, because they are preparing for exactly that.  Remember back during President Trump’s first term, how much he focused on pushing China back in the box — and protecting American interests because of the threat China posed?

President Trump’s policy on American steel was consistently based on that reality.  Kamala Harris’s policy?  Not so much.  But what do you do if you don’t have a policy of your own to stand on?  When the CFIUS starts flashing red warning lights… you do what you always do: steal President Trump’s longstanding policy.  I mean, you “steel” it.  (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

To bring us up to speed since the CFIUS has delivered it’s national security recommendation, here’s what Reuters has:

Nippon Steel’s proposed $14.9 billion takeover of U.S. Steel would create national security risks because it could hurt the supply of steel needed for critical transportation, construction and agriculture projects, the U.S. said in a letter sent to the companies and seen by Reuters.

The letter cited a global glut of cheap Chinese steel, and said that under Nippon, a Japanese company, U.S. Steel would be less likely seek tariffs on foreign steel importers.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) said in its 17-page letter sent Saturday to Nippon Steel (5401.T), opens new tab and U.S. Steel (X.N), opens new tab, and first reported by Reuters, that decisions by Nippon could “lead to a reduction in domestic steel production capacity.”

CFIUS added “U.S. Steel’s decisions in (trade) cases will be influenced by Nippon Steel and may take into account Nippon Steel’s commercial interests and competitive position in the global steel market.”

The letter provided a first glimpse of the national security grounds that the Biden administration could use as a basis for its expected move to block the merger, even as the companies and many industry experts questioned the strength of the arguments.

And that, is why suddenly, not only is Kamala Harris doing her usual campaign flip-flop and ripping off President Trump’s policies — but the Joe Biden is doing exactly the same thing.  It took nearly a full term in the White House for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to come to terms with what President Trump recognized almost immediately once he moved into the White House: as important as the American steel industry is for American jobs, it is at least that important in terms of confronting the rising threat that China poses on the world stage.

Thus… the flip-flop.  Steal President Trump’s policy.  Why?  Because it makes sense.  And I honestly think the reality of the danger looming on the horizon may have a few folks in the White House getting cold feet concerning their inept mishandling of the situation to date.

I have one more really good video clip I want to look at for some great insight.  Watch this — Fox Business’ Jeff Flock bringing some in-depth understanding to the table:

Once again, the dangerous combination of Progressive policies and inept democratic “leadership” has run into the wall of REALITY.  And suddenly Kamala Harris starts making wise policy decisions?  No, not hardly.  If only there actually WAS a learning curve with her, slow though it may be, that would finally bring her around to good policy without stealing President Trump’s.  No… she is just playing the political campaign game.

“The difference is, she won’t do it, she just wants it for Political Purposes! This was a TRUMP idea – She has no ideas, she can only steal from me.”  That’s what President Trump said on his Truth Social account, when Kamala flip-flopped on another issue; taxes on tips.  And as usual, I believe he nailed it.

Even the Biden handlers may be having a bit of a “come to Jesus” moment, hit with the reality of the CFIUS warning about the Chinese threat.  Maybe.  But Kamala???  She’s not doing anything she hasn’t done dozens of times before; stealing President Trump’s policies for “political purposes” — because she “STEEL” doesn’t have any of her own.
