The Philadelphia Eagles have been at the center of controversy in recent days after a number of posters were put up around the city that suggested the NFL franchise had endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 White House race.
For its part, the team has since responded to clarify that it had made no such endorsement and the advertisements were in no way approved by the Eagles.
We are aware counterfeit political ads are being circulated and are working with our advertising partner to have them removed.

According to the Daily Wire:
The response online came after images of several posters in Philly surfaced showing Harris wearing an Eagle’s helmet, black jersey, and holding a football. The fake poster read, “Kamala. The official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles,” CBS News reported.
The fake posters were seen at bus shelters at 16th and Spring Garden streets, 18th Street and JFK Boulevard, and 34th and Walnut streets in Philadelphia, the outlet noted.
The posters also included a URL philadelphiaeagles.com/vote printed underneath the caption. The website is still active at the time of this piece and gives outdated details about voting in the primaries.
Images of the posters spread far and wide via social media:
JUST IN:@Eagles just said @KamalaHarris is putting up counterfeit political ads to trick Eagles fans into thinking the team has endorsed @KamalaHarris.

The origin of the fake ads had not been officially confirmed as of this writing, but many social media users claimed it was the work of notorious street artist Winston Tseng.
Winston Tseng appears to be a NY’er behind the phony Kamala Eagles posters. He claims to be a “street artist”, but everything he does is the same old Uniparty nonsense on every channel. Very original buddy.https://t.co/EtZ2AweLb6

According to CBS News:
Social media users claim this is the work of artist Winston Tseng. CBS News Philadelphia is working to confirm Tseng is the artist behind the Eagles poster.
In an interview with Street Art News, Tseng previously said he likes to use brands and advertising to communicate societal issues with the hope of bringing attention to them in our day-to-day lives.
The street artist has made creations tackling political topics before by using familiar brands. Like one he did with Ben & Jerry’s branding featuring President Joe Biden at a Philadelphia SEPTA stop.
