We haven’t seen a lot of Joe Biden since Kamala Harris stole his spot as the Democrat nominee.
When we have seen him, it’s pretty much been campaigning for Kamala Harris, whom many Democrats seem to already see as the master-in-chief.
But today, Biden was spotted outside the White House briefly.
When a reporter asked him how it felt to be back on the campaign trail (for Kamala), he gave more details than expected…
“Feels good,” Biden answered before adding, with his signature creepy grin, “Except I’m not able to go out in the crowds anymore! The Secret Service doesn’t let me.”
Then, when pressed further, Biden said, “They say it’s too dangerous. No one gets to go out.”
Well, glad the Secret Service is protecting SOMEONE!

From The New York Post:
President Biden lamented late Monday that his Secret Service protective detail doesn’t let him get up close and personal with audience members at events — despite him having the authority to overrule their advice.
Biden, 81, who has a lengthy history of accusing his handlers and security of getting in his way, made the complaint to reporters as he returned from campaigning with Vice President Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania on Labor Day.
“Feels good,” the president told a reporter who asked how it felt to be on the stump again, “except I’m not able to go out into crowds anymore, the Secret Service doesn’t let me.”
“They said it’s too dangerous,” Biden answered when asked why he was restricted. “No one gets to go out.”
The Secret Service has been stepping up its protective measures in the wake of the near-assassination of former President Donald Trump on July 13.
However, Biden has the right to greet supporters at events even if agents tell him otherwise.
Throughout his presidency, Biden has grumbled about needing permission from his handlers or bodyguards — even for rudimentary duties like fielding inquiries, leading to speculation about the extent to which he controls his administration.
So, is is that Biden’s cognitive decline has worsened even further?
He’s a danger to himself?
Or does it have to do with a certain assassination attempt on his former political opponent and Biden just wants to steal the show?
The Western Journal provided some excellent commentary:
The most generous interpretation of Biden’s comment is that his cognitive decline has led him to forget that the Secret Service never allows presidents to wander into crowds.
But a less generous interpretation — and likely closer to the truth — suggests a kind of stolen valor on Biden’s part.
After all, when terrible things happen to other people, the narcissistic president often responds by turning the spotlight on himself. For instance, recall that on his August 2023 visit to wildfire-ravaged Maui, Biden told a story about a small kitchen fire in his Delaware home.
Thus, when speaking to reporters on Monday night, Biden probably had in mind the failed July 13 assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, who rose to his feet after the shooting stopped and gave the world an iconic image of bravery.
Biden, therefore, stole some valor by making it seem that he, too, faced danger.
As pathetic as that sounds, it certainly makes sense in light of his entire farcical presidency.
