Ted Cruz Has A Simple Explanation For Why Leftists Aren’t Mad At Kamala For Policy Flip-Flops

At this point in the campaign, it’s obvious to just about everyone that Kamala Harris is trying to hide her previously stated far-left viewpoints in hopes of appeal to more moderate voters.

That means she and her surrogates have been engaged in some serious flip-flops, but Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) recently explained why he doesn’t think her core supporters on the extreme left are pushing back against her apparently shifting sentiments.

According to the Daily Wire:

Cruz said that Harris’ “my values have not changed” line was something that her campaign came up with to be her “lead talking point on any flip-flop that she got pressed” on.

“And actually, at some level, that’s the truest statement she made the entire interview because Kamala Harris is a radical leftist,” he said. “She is extreme. And she still believes all this stuff. And you know what? It’s the reason why nobody on the Left is unhappy that she’s suddenly running away from her positions because they know she’s lying.”

“Let’s be clear. Border Czar Kamala Harris was in charge of this invasion,” he continued. “It happened on her watch, and if, God forbid, she becomes president, it will get worse. And everyone gets the joke. All the leftists know she still believes all this stuff. She just has to say some more conservative things in the campaign to fool the gullible voters, but none of her radical supporters believe for a moment she’s right.”

The disconnect between Harris’ earlier views and her rhetoric on the campaign trail has been receiving significant attention on social media in recent days:

As the New York Post reported, even Harris supporters are hard-pressed to state any of her current policies with any confidence:

Harris’ abandoned policy positions include her pledges to eliminate private health insurance, decriminalize illegal border crossings, ban fracking for oil and natural gas, and ban the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035 — each of those made in 2019 when the then-California senator was seeking the Democratic presidential nomination.

In recent weeks, The Post has spoken to several swing-state voters who plan to cast ballots for Harris. The majority of them painted a vague picture of what the vice president stands for — “pro-choice” and “the environment.”

But the main reason they’re backing Harris is because she is not former President Donald Trump.

Here’s some additional coverage of one of Harris’ most notable flip-flops:
