‘Insulting My Intelligence’: Bill Maher Slams Harris And Walz For Spreading Blatant Lies

It seems as if every week on his HBO series “Real Time,” leftist comedian Bill Maher makes at least a few comments that conservatives can get behind.

During Friday’s broadcast, he took aim at Kamala Harris and Tim Walz after their joint interview with CNN’s Dana Bash earlier in the week. After calling the Walz a “huge liar” for claiming that he speaks like the average American, Maher shifted his attention to Harris’ obviously false statements.

According to the Daily Caller:

Maher also took aim at responses Harris gave when Bash asked about how the vice president reacted when she learned Biden was dropping out and regarding her change of position on hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking.”

“When [Bash] said … What did you say when Biden called you and said he wasn’t running? Well, um, I immediately thought of him first. No, you didn’t,” Maher said of Harris’ response. “You know, I mean, fracking. I mean, Dana Bash had her dead to rights. It’s like, you said this, I have the quote, I’m reading it to you, you said there should be a ban on fracking. Why can’t they just go, ‘Yeah, you know what, I got it wrong, I was talking to uh the wrong people?’”

The interview was roundly criticized by many others on social media:

While the American people have had nearly four years to witness Harris’ aversion to the truth, a steady stream of lies and misleading remarks have been exposed about her running mate since she chose him last month.

As The Federalist reported:

Walz has justifiably taken a lot of heat from veterans for “misrepresenting” his leadership rank in the National Guard and abandoning his Iraq-bound unit in his first run for Congress. His critics say Walz has built a nearly 20-year political career on stolen valor. He has on multiple occasions “misspoke” in implying that he served in a war zone, when he has served in Italy and Norway. He left the National Guard just as his unit was alerted it would be heading off to war in Iraq.

During Walz’s run for Congress in 2006, his campaign told some whoppers about his Driving Under the Influence and speeding charges in Nebraska, insisting that the DUI charge wasn’t true. It was a really bad lie, one that Walz allowed to live on for years.

In the same election year, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce took Walz to task for declaring on his congressional campaign website that he was the recipient of an award for his work with the business community. As Fox News reported, a scathing letter to Walz in 2006 by Barry L. Kennedy, then-president of the Nebraska Chamber, called Walz out on his BS.

“We researched this matter and can confirm that you have not been the recipient of any award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce,” the letter states.

Here’s some additional coverage of Walz’s lies:
