SHEBORO, N.C. — Former President Donald Trump went into the crowd to embrace a rally attendee who required medical assistance in Asheboro.
Trump was a little over an hour into his speech when a few sharp whistles pierced the air.
The former president stopped speaking and people in the crowd shouted for a medic.
“A doctor please,” Trump said into the microphone.
Cheers erupted as Trump made his way down from the podium and into the stands, flanked on all sides by the Secret Service.
Trump shook hands and exchanged a few words with the rally-goer before briefly hugging them.
He thanked the medical professional who stepped in before returning to his speech.
