NBC News shares a glimpse into what J.D. Vance and Trump are thinking:
“I haven’t spoken to RFK personally, but I know there’s been a lot of communication back and forth between RFK, between the campaign, between this campaign,” Vance said. “Look, our argument to RFK, and I’ll make it right now, because, of course, he hasn’t dropped out yet, is, look: If you want a Democratic Party that protected American workers and stood for strong borders, maybe disagreed with Republicans on things like tax policy, that party doesn’t exist anymore.”
And on Tuesday, Trump told CNN that he would be open to Kennedy joining his administration if elected. Asked if he’d consider putting him in the administration if Kennedy backed him and he won, Trump said, “I probably would.” He added, “I like him a lot. I respect him a lot.”
On Tuesday, Kennedy’s running mate Nicole Shanahan revealed they were entertaining the idea of dropping out and joining forces with Trump.

Personally, I find it refreshing to see a candidate back out of the race for the greater good. Others share a similar sentiment.
With the independent candidate actually backing republicans this time, I see a major advantage on the horizon!
