CNN Tries To Tie JD Vance To Bankrupt Company, But There’s A Big Problem

If the level of ad hominem attacks aimed in his direction are any indication, the Democratic Party and mainstream media see Donald Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), as a threat.

Without much to attack him on aside from his supposed “weirdness,” news outlets like CNN are going to great lengths to manufacture controversies.

Most recently, the cable news outlet published a piece seeking to tie Vance to a startup company he bailed out during his time as a venture capitalist but has not had any connect to for the past three years.

As Breitbart reported:

The article describes the rise and fall of AppHarvest, an agricultural startup in eastern Kentucky. Vance helped bail the company out when he was involved in venture capital. The company later went public — a mark of success.

Vance left his role in the company in 2021 to run for Senate.

Last year, the company declared bankruptcy, and workers now say that working conditions were poor. But there is no direct connection between those problems and Vance’s involvement, as CNN admits near the end of the article.

Of course, there are plenty of other examples involving the Harris campaign or its surrogates in the media aiming specious attacks in Vance’s direction.

If anything, Vance’s work on behalf of private sector companies highlights a major difference between the Trump and Harris campaigns.

Meanwhile, the media is still manufacturing stories aimed at painting Trump in the worst light possible, including recent stories disingenuously connecting the former president to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to NewsNation:

According to the Miami Herald, Trump’s campaign took the Gulfstream G550 plane to several fundraisers over the weekend. The Gulfstream jet once carried Epstein, who owned it until his death in 2019.

According to campaign officials, Trump’s staff had “no idea” the Gulfstream was once owned by Epstein. The official told the Daily Beast a charter flight company provided the jet.
“The campaign had absolutely no idea the aircraft we rented was previously owned by Mr. Epstein,” the official said, adding that Trump’s team only knew about the jet’s owner from the media.

Here’s what Vance had to say about the relentless attacks he and Trump have been receiving:
