Nancy Pelosi Says Joe Biden Should Be Added to Mount Rushmore

Yes, you read that right.

Nancy Pelosi thinks we should add Joe Biden to Mount Rushmore.

She says he was “such a consequential president” — up in the ranks of Washington, Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Lincoln.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi mused Sunday morning that President Biden could be added to Mount Rushmore after choosing to step out of the 2024 race.

CBS journalist Lesley Stahl asked Pelosi about reports claiming she led efforts to remove Biden from the presidential ticket following his disastrous debate against former President Trump.

Pelosi denied leading any charge to oust Biden and instead remarked how he was at “the top of his game” before making his decision to leave the race. She suggested the choice was worthy of Biden joining the presidents on Mount Rushmore.

“He was in a good place to make whatever decision – the top of his game,” Pelosi said. “Such a consequential President of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of President of the United States.”

Stahl asked, “Are you really saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?”

“Well, you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful,” Pelosi clarified. “I don’t say take him down. But you can add Biden.”

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) argued in a new interview that President Joe Biden is a “Mount Rushmore kind of president” and indicated his face should be included as part of the iconic monument.

The historic monument, located in South Dakota, features former U.S. Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. Pelosi argued that Biden has been “such a consequential president” when reflecting on his term.

“But you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful,” Pelosi said. “I don’t say take him down, but you can add Biden.”

Pelosi’s suggestion has been widely rebuked online, with former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee calling it “laughably ridiculous.” He also questioned if the former House speaker was sober during her interview, as there had to have been “something to explain” her suggestion.

I know one president who might be up there among the ranks of Roosevelt…
