Venezuela President Challenges Elon Musk To Fight

Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro, who many people believe cheated in Venezuela’s recent election, has challenged billionaire Elon Musk to a fight.

In recent days, videos on X show thousands of protesters flooding the streets of Venezuela to protest the Presidential election results.

Elon Musk has even chimed in on the unfair election and took to X and wrote in Spanish, “El burro sabe mas que Maduro,” which means “The donkey knows more than Maduro.”

Maduro has responded to Musk and shared, “Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk.”

Maduro continued, “Do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready. I’m not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let’s fight, wherever you want.”

Here’s what Fox Business reported:

Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro, who skeptics suggest cheated his way to winning the country’s presidential election on Sunday after securing over 50% of the vote, declared war on Tesla, X and Space X CEO Elon Musk, calling him his “arch-enemy.”

“Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,” Maduro stated.

“Do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready. I’m not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let’s fight, wherever you want.”

In a video Monday, Maduro was seen holding a cellphone as he declared war on Musk, alleging Musk wants to invade Venezuela with his space rockets.

Musk shared the video on his social media platform X, saying, “el burro sabe mas que Maduro,” or, “The donkey knows more than Maduro.”

The billionaire also shared a video of people tearing down a billboard image of Maduro.

Per AP:

Add Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to the growing list of foreign leaders with whom tech billionaire Elon Musk has picked a fight.

Following the results of Venezuela’s presidential election, in which Maduro and his opponents each claimed victory, the owner of X took to the social media platform to accuse the self-proclaimed socialist leader of “major election fraud.”

“Shame on Dictator Maduro,” Musk said Monday.

Maduro in turn trashed Musk as “the archenemy of Venezuela’s peace.”

Officials delayed the release of detailed vote tallies from Sunday’s election after proclaiming Maduro the winner with 51% of the vote, compared with 44% for retired diplomat Edmundo González. The competing claims set up a high-stakes standoff.

After failing to oust Maduro during three rounds of demonstrations since 2014, the opposition put its faith in the ballot box. The elections were among the most peaceful in recent memory, reflecting hopes that Venezuela could avoid bloodshed and end 25 years of single-party rule.
