This is so wild that even Elon Musk weighed in:

Yes, indeed.

Big Tech Accused of Rewriting History As Trump Assassination Missing From Searches

Not even a month after the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, numerous different tech companies are being accused of attempting to rewrite history as the results of the event appear to be hidden.

Users on social media quickly began to raise questions as their inquiries into the event yielded minimal results, sometimes even flat-out being refused.

One user attempted to ask Meta AI about the assassination attempt before being told that the model could not answer as it does not have access to “the most up-to-date information.”

Then, the same AI was able to answer a question about Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign despite being launched after the attempt on Trump’s life.

Meta AI is far from the only tech platform doing so as Snapchat AI, ChatGPT and even the Google search engine refuse to provide answers or autofill about the assassination attempt.

Social media users began to claim that these companies were attempting to “eras[e] history” by keeping information on the event suppressed.

Fox Business reported:

Google users searching for the attempted assassination of former President Trump were miffed when the desired results failed to populate on the search engine.

Instead, the website autocomplete feature omitted the results of the July 13 shooting, drawing criticism from social media users who accused the big tech giant of trying to influence the presidential election.

Screenshots from Google instead showed reccommended search results of the failed assassination of Ronald Reagan and the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, whose death sparked World War I, the shooting of Bob Marley and the failed attempt on former President Gerald Ford.

While these companies may have reasons as to why information on the assassination attempt is being suppressed, that won’t mean that they are good answers.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see what reasons these tech companies had for keeping important information concealed from the public.
