Donald Trump Announces Meeting With Benjamin Netanyahu, Location Shifted To Mar-A-Lago Per Bibi’s Request

President Trump announced he would meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the United States.

“Looking forward to welcoming Bibi Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday. During my first term, we had Peace and Stability in the Region, even signing the historic Abraham Accords – And we will have it again,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“Just as I have said in discussions with President Zelensky and other World Leaders in recent weeks, my PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH Agenda will demonstrate to the World that these horrible, deadly Wars, and violent Conflicts must end. Millions are dying, and Kamala Harris is in no way capable of stopping it,” he added.

“At the request of Bibi Netanyahu, we have switched this meeting to Friday, July 26th at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida!” Trump said in a later post.

Netanyahu has a strong relationship with both Trump and Biden, the latter runs deeper going back over four decades but has also been fraught with discord, particularly over Iran, the Gaza war, and Netanyahu’s judicial reform program.

Netanyahu is also set to hold separate meetings with evangelicals and Jewish leaders in Washington Tuesday night.

He arrived in Washington during a tumultuous week during which Biden withdrew from the presidential race, a step that made Harris the presumptive Democratic candidate.

She will be campaigning in Indiana on Wednesday and in an unusual way, will not be present for Netanyahu’s speech to Congress.

Traditionally the Vice President presides over that event. Her role will be filled by Democratic Senator Ben Cardin, who heads the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Ben Cardin.

Netanyahu will give a speech to Congress on Wednesday.

Per Axios:

This will be the first meeting between Trump and Netanyahu since the fallout between them after the 2020 elections.

The Israeli Prime Minister hopes the meeting with Trump will open a new page in their relations.

Netanyahu will be the second world leader who meets Trump as a presidential nominee after Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited the former president at Mar-a-Lago several weeks ago.

The last time Netanyahu met Trump was at the White House in September 2020 at the signing ceremony of the Abraham Accords, which Trump brokered.
