Missed Trump’s Iconic RNC Speech? Watch His Full Speech Here

President Trump’s speech last night at the Republican National Convention was one you shouldn’t miss.

In the first half of his speech, Trump honored Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief who was shot and killed at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump also gave a very detailed explanation of what occurred on the day of the shooting and gave God glory while doing it.

The 45th president shared, “I stand before you tonight here in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God.”

He later added that he felt safe despite being shot because God was on his side.

In the latter part of his speech, Trump addressed key issues such as the border crisis, the Green New Deal, political prosecution, and more.

Here’s what Fox News reported:

At the beginning of the speech, Trump retold in great detail the assassination attempt against him. A somber Trump told the crowd his version of events.

“In order to see the chart, I started to turn to my right, and was ready to begin a further turn, which I’m lucky I didn’t, when I heard a loud whizzing sound and felt something hit me, really hard, on my right ear,” Trump recalled. “I said to myself, ‘Wow, what was that – it can only be a bullet,’ – and moved my right hand to my ear, brought it down, and my hand was covered with blood, just blood all over the place. I immediately knew it was very serious, that we were under attack, and in one movement, proceeded to drop to the ground.”

“There was blood pouring everywhere, and yet, in a certain way I felt very safe, because I had God on my side,” Trump continued. “The amazing thing is that prior to the shot, if I had not moved my head at the very last instant, the assassin’s bullet would have perfectly hit its mark, and I would not be with you tonight.”

Per The Hill:

The opening minutes of Trump’s speech were intense and somber as he recounted the assassination attempt against him during a Saturday campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
He said he would recount the story one time, because it was “too painful to tell.” He then went into granular detail about how he was speaking about immigration when he heard something whiz by his ear and felt something hit him with great force.

Trump recalled Secret Service agents rushing the stage to cover him and how fortunate it was that the crowd did not panic and cause a stampede amid the chaos. And he described it as divine intervention that he had narrowly escaped death.

As he spoke, images from the rally with blood on his face and when he raised his fist and urged the crowd to “fight” were displayed on the video boards behind him. At one point, an image that caught the bullet near his head appeared while Trump spoke below it.
The crowd was the quietest it had been all week as attendees appeared to listen raptly.
“I’m not supposed to be here tonight. Not supposed to be here,” Trump said, eliciting chants of “Yes you are” from the crowd.
