Biden Is Suddenly Considering Dropping Out Of The Presidential Race

A week ago, Joe Biden stated in no uncertain terms that he would not be dropping out of the 2024 Presidential race.

However, even before he made that statement, it was clear that the democrats wanted him gone.

No sooner than when the dust had settled after the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, Biden seems to have suddenly changed his tune.

Now, he’s open to the idea of dropping out if his doctor advises him to.

It all started in a taped interview for BET on Tuesday.

Biden stated that he’d consider dropping out of the race if there were “some medical condition that emerged.”

Just in time, Biden has the dreaded COVID again…

Our friends at the New York Post have the latest on Biden’s change of heart:

President Biden said in a new interview that he would consider dropping out if he was diagnosed with a “medical condition” by doctors — giving the clearest indication yet that he may be faltering in his vow to seek a second term.

The 81-year-old president made the remark in a BET interview taped Tuesday when asked what it would take to prompt him to reconsider his candidacy.

“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” Biden said in an excerpt released Wednesday.

In the same interview, Biden said that he feels the need to run again — rather than serve as a “transitional” leader, as he said in 2020 — because the country is “so divided.”

“I said I was going to be a transitional candidate, and I thought I would be able to move on from this and pass it on to somebody else,” he said. “But I didn’t anticipate things getting so, so, so divided. And quite frankly, I think the only thing age brings is a little bit of wisdom.”

What interesting timing…

It seems the democrats have turned to an old friend for a new problem.

CNBC has more on Biden’s latest COVID diagnosis:

President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, the White House said.

The president, who was delivering speeches in Las Vegas, “is experiencing mild symptoms,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

Biden “will be returning to Delaware where he will self-isolate and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time,” Jean-Pierre said.

Biden is vaccinated and boosted, she noted.

“The White House will provide regular updates on the President’s status as he continues to carry out the full duties of the office while in isolation,” she said.

Biden boarded Air Force One in Las Vegas around 6:30 p.m. ET, the White House pool reported. The president was not wearing a mask as he boarded the plane.

“Good, I feel good,” Biden told reporters in response to shouted questions on the airport tarmac.

But, I was told on good authority that Biden is a tough guy who has beat COVID before.

In fact, Joy Reid at MSNBC said that if he beats COVID again, it would comparable to President Trump surviving the assassination attempt:
