President Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter Kai Madison Trump is making headlines after giving her first ever speech at the Republican National Convention.

And, it was beautiful! Kai obviously admires Grandpa Donald and had a lot to say about him. “Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you,” Kai said, “The media makes my grandpa look like such a different person, but I know who he is.”

Kai also dished on their relationship, saying, “He calls me in the middle of the day to ask me how his golf game is going and tell me about his.”

She also snitched, “He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking!”

Kai Trump, former President Donald Trump‘s eldest grandchild, made her Republican National Convention debut, humanizing her “normal grandpa” with personal insight and quips about their relationship.

“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa — he gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking,” Kai Trump, 17, told the crowd Wednesday after being introduced by her father, Donald Trump Jr. “He calls me in the middle of the day to ask me how his golf game is going and tell me about his.”…

“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you,” Kai Trump said Wednesday as the former president beamed in the audience. “The media makes my grandpa look like such a different person, but I know who he is.”

“A lot of people put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she added.

Like her grandpa, Kai is an avid golfer.

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel shared more details about Trump’s granddaughter:

Kai Madison Trump is the oldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Pergolizzi. Trump Jr. and Pergolizzi were married from 2005 before divorcing in 2018.

Kai has four siblings, Donald John III, Tristan Milos, Spencer Frederick and Chloe Sophia. Kai is named after her great-grandfather.

Kai Trump mostly stays away from politics on her social media. Golf is her focus online.

But she did show her support for her grandfather politically when she attended a Turning Point USA event in Detroit with Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
