Yesterday we read that Milton Teagle “Richard” Simmons, the man who created the “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” workout series, was celebrating another birthday.
“I am grateful that I’m here, that I am alive for another day,” he said.
“I’ll spend my birthday doing what I do every day, which is to help people.”

Little did we know it would be his last.
For today we just got the news that he died.
The Post Millennial reports:
Richard Simmons, the beloved fitness instructor who rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s, has passed away at the age of 76. Simmons died just one day after celebrating his birthday and had received messages from fans the day of.
Simmons was primarily known for his energetic personality and dozens of fitness tapes that sold more than 20 million copies. Upon rising to fame, he opened multiple gyms across the United States in an effort to help countless individuals embrace a healthier lifestyle. Earlier this year, Simmons also announced plans to open a Broadway musical.
His death, first reported by TMZ, is believed to be due to natural causes.
Simmons, who revealed earlier this year that he was diagnosed with skin cancer, was pronounced dead after the police arrived at his house upon a call from his housekeeper.
Fox News adds:
An LAFD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that first responders were dispatched for a cardiac arrest of a 76-year-old man at Simmons’ Los Angeles home, without identifying Simmons as the patient. The patient was pronounced dead at the scene of natural causes, LAFD said.
An LAPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital officers had responded to Simmons’ home for a death investigation that was completed at 10 a.m. this morning.

He was everywhere in the 80’s and early 90’s, even had a popular ‘Deal-a-Meal’ weight loss program.
And decades later he was still making sure you’ve stretched for the day.
Richard you dear sweet soul! I’m filled with joy to see you here my dear friend. Although we never met you came into my lounge room every day with your positive magical energy! You saved me from myself & once again right now the covid weight has to come off! So look what I found! pic.twitter.com/sSxcrqDJf9

Here’s a funny photo of him intentionally photo-bombing someone’s picture:
Saddened to learn about the passing of Richard Simmons. I met him back in 2013. He was very nice and later unknowingly photobombed me as I sat for a pic with Iron Man. RIP Richard Simmons. pic.twitter.com/uVLelOKe0a

But…whenever we read ‘cardiac arrest’ these days, we have to ask one question.
I think you know what it is.
Did he get the jab?
